Our favorite breakfast restaurant in Elmhurst. The food and service is always outstanding. Even when the restaurant is full, we’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes for a table. The menu has no holes or speed bumps. We LOVE their Skillets. Our favorites are the Texas Skillet (The perfect blend of cheese, scrambled eggs, hash browns, green peppers and steak) and Gypsy Skillet.
The skirt steak is cooked perfectly and has an excellent first and second bite. The Pancakes are also another decadent choice with a heartwarming flavor. Orange juice in a full glass poured to the top, how it’s supposed to be.

First time here while visiting. This place is awesome! The service was excellent, the portions were huge and what a great atmosphere! They were all decorated for Christmas and it looked great. Will definitely be back next time we are in the area. It’s definitely a must go if you are close.

Rhonda took care of us and the experience was phenomenal. She was very attentive and always made sure to keep our drinks full without asking once at all. It’s been a long time since Ive seen great service like this and with it being our first time, we truly enjoyed it. The food was very fresh as well and came out quickly. We look forward to our next visit hopefully we get Rhonda again!

Yummy!! The food is delicious. This time we had the apple crisps. And they had lots of apples in them!! The Denver omelette was good as well. The food came out Fast! Service was good. Everyone should try this place out! We will be back!!

This was always our favorite place for breakfast and lunch until this afternoon! It’s now under new owners and the food has definitely changed already. I ordered the turkey dinner was basically pressed turkey slices over stuffing which was tasteless and they’re changed their gravy. It used to be my favorite as it was actually fresh carved turkey. The person with me ordered the salad plate of which it to had changed. It used to have incredible egg salad which was made fresh to order with your choice of tuna or chicken salad. Now it’s completely different. I realize that new owners like to put their spin on things, but with this restaurant, everything was perfect. Nothing had to be changed!!! At least they have kept the staff for now, which are always friendly and provided great service. I’ll probably cross this one off my list!!!

Quaint little breakfast and lunch restaurant in downtown Elmhurst. It has a family feel to it. The place was packed when we went around 1.30pm. They let us move to a different table as I wanted an electric outlet for charging. Plenty of parking as it is next to Elmhurst city parking building which is free. There is some outdoor seating too for summer. Service was fast and efficient. Food was pretty good. I liked my Espanola omelette.

Staff was kind and attentive, and the food was good, but it was pricier than other places for what it was. Parking was not easy to find unless there happens to be a garage we didn’t know about (search it up before you go). Overall, it is a typical breakfast location with many options to choose from, including international and dinner options.

Had a taste for pancakes today.
I had the Rainbow Cafe special. 2 eggs, bacon and 2 pancakes. Comes with hashbrowns too but I subbed it for a fruit plate.
Fruit plate was very generous- had raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, cantaloupe, honeydew, pineapple, grapes AND orange. Loved the variety.
Pancakes were solid. A little dense for my taste but good.
I’m on mission to find the best cream of chicken and rice soup. This one was pretty good. Personally I enjoy a little herb flavor but the taste was good. The texture was on the thicker and creamer side too. 7/10
