Friendly greetings upon entering.
Good service.
They accommodated our birthday cake celebration by providing a lighter and extra plates and forks.
The food.
The chips & salsa was bangin! So good!
I got the Mahi and shrimp tacos. The protein was a little over cooked and too salty for my flavor.
The water was straight unfiltered tap.

I ordered hard tacos, cheese enchiladas and beef enchiladas. The chips and drinks were delivered quickly and kept full by a very pleasant and polite server who was working hard… despite being pregnant. My son ordered beef chimichangas and he said they were fantastic. My food was very good, although the enchiladas were the smallest I have ever been served. I actually ordered extra after the first plate. But the food was very good, the service was excellent, and the place was nice and clean. I would definitely go back.

Had to get my drink, I like to let it be empty for 5+ minutes before I get it myself. The rest of the customer service was similar, or offended since I didn’t want to wait any longer for my drink… I let it be empty for more than 5 minutes before trying to get the guys attention to get my drink. Was in the afternoon on 12-18-2025

This was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had. I guess being out of towners, service was not important to them. First, the waitress was ok, but then disappeared, without a word. Some guy came over and randomly took over. The drinks were NEVER refilled. One of our LOCAL guests had to go get his OWN refill. Once the food was served, no one EVER came back to see if everyone was happy with their meal or refill anything (standard restaurant procedure).
We had to ask for extra chips and an extra plate (we shared the “dinner size” portion of fajitas, which looked very small for dinner size. Lunch size I can imagine would barely feed a child. Upon leaving, we asked for cheese to take home a total of 3 times, but it never came. Then the ” Owner” (he said he was) said that would be $3,99. In light of the terrible service overall and asking for the cheese 3 x, it would have been a nice gesture not to charge for the cheese.
I said exactly that to the “owner” and he had a terrible attitude throughout our entire visit. I told him the service had been terrible and he actually called me a LIAR! IN FRONT OF my little girl. We are here with our LOCAL friends for Christmas vacation and this was a TERRIBLE experience. The portions are SMALL, chips burned, salsa was NOT fresh and the service was diabolical. There is a reason there was hardly anyone there. There might have been 4 other people dining. Also, place looked dingy and dirty.

We only went because it was supposed to be “Authentic” Mexican. They do have other locations and we will certainly NEVER be back. We won’t let this ruin our visit to St
Augustine, but it was very disappointing, especially to my little girl at Christmastime.
My advice would be DO NOT dine here. Your business will not be appreciated and you will leave hungry. If you do go, bring low expectations, but don’t expect matching low prices. Merry Christmas to us!

I have ate at many Mexican restaurants and it won’t be my last, but this place is by far “authentic” lacks seasoning. The atmosphere felt almost uncomfortable. Servers weren’t to friendly seemed bored. Even though our experience and food was not good. We thanked them and left with a smile.

Don’t expect Glitz & Glam at this location. Very small and outdated with a serious lack of evidence that they invest in the atmosphere. Dark and dinghy. But the ceiling tiles were absolutely disgusting covered in stains and visible dust. The staff have some language barrier but it is manageable. The menu had items that were priced decent and some that were not. Example is the large queso dip that is priced at $17 and some change food arrived hot and fresh and was very good.
