I called ahead on a Saturday night as I knew they’d likely be busy. I was told they did not take reservations but could put my name on a waiting list in person. I understand that a restaurant this busy does not need to bother with a reservation system as they’ll always fill up anyways, but it does make for a more frustrating experience. I was quoted a 30 minute wait and received a call right on time that our table was ready.
We chose to sit outside. When I’d arrived, there was live music inside (a bit loud, but good). The restaurant decor is quite fun, with the outside wall looking like a submarine and a consistent nautical theme throughout. Take a trip to the bathroom, they’re cool as well!
Our waitress was great and offered personalized recommendations. She was attentive and the rest of the staff seemed equally so. We were impressed by the speed the orders came out.
The menu offers a wide variety of creative Mexican seafood options. We tried the calamari, a few tostadas, and the sailor rice. All of it was delicious. The sailor rice would be enough for two smaller portions. I can’t wait to return to try more entrees.
Prices were fair, and quality was high. I was impressed in particular by the calamari. It was the most tender, least chewy calamari I’d ever had.

This place makes a few “must dine lists” for good reason. The seafood shots were amazing.
We have some seafood allergies which they happily accommodated. Great mexican seafood menu.

Omg! Seriously this is the best sea food place hands down ✋⬇ super tasty! It’s worth every penny! And the customer service is on point! We really enjoyed our first time there this past weekend. Real authentic sea food here in Tucson and the environment is very Welcoming.

Amazing restaurant! Always enjoy it when I am in TUCSON! They have the best calamari and after multiple visits, I tried the tuna ceviche nachos to DRIVE A 120 MILES FOR! Surf and Turf is mind blowing, Tacos can’t say enough about them! Just try it once and you will be hooked like a fush!

A very neat and cool restaurant! The live music and the theme of the restaurant were really fun! For being in the middle of the desert the seafood was very fresh! Our server was the bartender and he had a full bar so I’m not sure why the restaurant made that choice so service was a little slow! The serving of food were on the smaller side but none-less very neat and cool food! A little pricey for the portion! It was a fun and neat experience! Would try again later in time!

Definitely a cool atmosphere! Waiter didnt know much about the menu which was a bummer. Every question we asked about the menu he wasn’t sure about. Drinks were good but took a long time to get. Food came out fast and was yummy. Music is very loud! Oysters are waaay over priced. Overall I would recommend to try this place at least once to check out the submarine theme/decor.

I was looking for seafood restaurants and I found El Berraco. The restaurant design is so beautiful. I saw in the previous reviews about the octopus. I went there to try it. I was afraid it will be chewy or not well cooked. But, it was so good and well cooked. It wasn’t chewy. It was a little bit spicy. We also ordered another meal it was fish with white sauce, we asked for the sauce to be on the side. Both meals were so good. The chips salsa and flan was good as well. Will come again for sure.

Wow! This place hits on all the yums! Love the decor, music, and service. The food was fresh, creative, and delicious. I recommend two mango margaritas and taste buds that are not shy to a bit of spice.

El Berraco is awesome! The decor is fun and the food is filling and delicious. The octopus was so good and the bacon wrapped fish was out of this world. Micheladas were just as tasty and one of the best we’ve had in a long time. And the service was top notch, shout out to Ana for excellent service. Obviously coming back again.

Above and beyond our expectations. We flew from Philadelphia and needed to try something different than a cheesstake. The food was superb, delicious, and authentic! Beautiful lady waitress was very helpful in choosing and picking specials and drinks. Please visit and try yammy ceviche.
