I stopped at this spot on a whim. I was in the area for HEB but I dare not go to the grocery store on an empty stomach so I popped into The Porch. I had the southern scramble which was biscuits with sausage gravy with scrambled eggs and potatoes. I devoured the entire thing. Super delicious. I added Tabasco but the sausage had a lil kick to it. The Only thing I was like “ahn could be better” was the lemonade. I was hoping for fresh squeezed southern style lemonade but it was fountain drink. But overall would visit again. Service was speedy and pleasant.

Good breakfast, cozy atmosphere and wasn’t a bad choice. I ordered the Steak and Eggs with hashbrowns and upgraded to French Toast price was about $21.00 which seemed like a good value.
Then saw the price of the black coffee for just under $5.00 and wasn’t impressed.
All in all food was cooked well and had a decent experience.

Where do I start….EVERY THING was delicious. I don’t have a picture of the mixed vegetables because they were too delicious to stop eating and take a picture… giggles. I ordered a side salad, mixed vegetables and fried catfish. This is my third delivery order of fried catfish and it has arrived hot and perfectly seasoned every time! Hidden gem for sure!!!!!! Home style food the entire family will love!

The environment was very welcoming. The booth was sat in irritated mine and my child’s legs because it was torn up. Felt like a bug kept biting us. The restroom was not clean. The walls and door were filthy. The waitress was great and the food was really good. There was another waitress that wasn’t ours that was super loud. So loud she was making breakfast not so enjoyable. She was over the top.
But over all, I’d be back. The food was perfect.

I really wish I could give this place more than five stars. The food was outstanding. I went in with a five person party and we all ordered different dishes EVERY SINGLE THING was good. Well, the macaroni and cheese was a little plain and runny, but other than that all other food was amazing. The blackened eyed peas were fixed to southern style perfection. As well as the cabbage that burst with flavor as soon as it hits your tongue. Pancakes are fluffy and perfectly flipped, the French toast was superbly done. Everything is seasoned just right. I could go on and on an out the food but I will just say try this place out and whatever you order, you will be delighted. We were served by Heather who was attentive, efficient, and very friendly. She provided great service. The atmosphere is nice inside the restaurant, very clean, and inviting. Great for business lunches, after church supper, or family dinner. The prices are on par for your normal soul food places. We paid about $120 dollars for five meals and two to go orders. It was worth every penny though. If you’re on the search for a place to eat in Mansfield, look no further, would definitely recommend The Porch!

This was my first time here. The service was prompt and good, but the food was mediocre. I had the steak and eggs—the steak lacked flavor and was quite bland. The burger was just okay. I’ll give them another try and see if it improves.

I chose The Porch as a restaurant to try while in Texas based off the reviews. They had fairly good reviews & I had heard it was good. It was definitely down home cowboy country style. The fried okra was amazing!! I had the avocado veggie burger, it was pretty good but more guacamole VS avocado. The Buffalo chicken ranch wrap had great flavor but excessive sauce which made it soggy. Fries were good! One of our friends loved the liver & onion dish. He said the gravy was delicious. The bacon cheeseburger was also a favorite with our group, as well as the Porch burger which was ridiculous in side but really yummy. The Porch French toast was cooked great & the waitress was able to cook the bacon a little more for us. The fried catfish was good, great flavor & wasn’t over seasoned. They brought a Mac & cheese out for us to try for one of our sides but it wasn’t cheesy & tasted more milky. They didn’t have a ton of vegetarian options, besides the French Toast or breakfast options. Heather was our waitress & she was really great & very attentive! Highly recommend!!

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I wasn’t sure what to expect, so I kept an open mind. Turns out I didn’t need to keep an open mind. The place was really nice, the wait staff was very warm and friendly, and the food was very very good. It puts me in the mind of some place that I would bring my laptop to do some work while enjoying the environment.
