This place is fabulous, every dish we ordered made us go ‘wow’ and the flavours are incredible. The charcoal grill was our fav’s. The broccoli, lamb & prawns!

Instead of dessert we had a cocktail called Daru Lassi which absolutely finished our evening off perfectly!

Insta was right! You should visit here

A restaurant with a difference! Great atmosphere, friendly, accommodating staff and we loved the charcoal pit in the dining area! Good variety of dishes on the menu, but it wasn’t overwhelming. The food was excellent and the Malai Broccoli straight off the charcoal was superb! Would recommend if you want to try a curry house offering something a bit different.

an old indian aesthetic with glass painted windows tucked away from the busyness of wilmslow road

dishes were made and served fresh to order

we ordered:

mango lassi – creamy with the perfect balance of sweet and tanginess

bhangin’ potato – crispy potatoes glazed in a variety of sweet and tangy sauces topped with toasted almonds and pomegranate, scrumptious

scorpion prawns – flavoured with tandoori and lemon, perhaps could have been more tender

lamb chops – yummy charcoal flavour but again not as tender as i’ve had from other places

leopard roll – a grilled lamb kofta wrapped in a crispy naan, would recommend getting this!

butter chicken – thick, creamy and smoky, also would recommend this

garlic naan – a must with butter chicken always, has a yummy buttery crunch with a smoked after taste

i enjoyed my drink and main meal but slightly let down with the prawn and lamb chops, especially given these are the items they are known for from their charcoal pit.

service was quite slow and we were charged incorrectly (corrected once we pointed it out)

i would still return to try other items as flavours were yummy and lots of people deem this a staple on wilmslow road.

Reserved a table and paid the reservation fee, then traveled from Copenhagen only to read a closed sign! Disgusting service and treatment considering the restaurant had our contact details and money and could have easily have reached out to inform us that the place was closed.
Seriously bad service.

Absolutely brilliant restaurant would definitely recommend visiting this restaurant and visiting Manchester. The scorpion King poems are our next level.

Visited Mughli for many years and the food has always been consistently amazing. Butter Chicken is highly recommended!

Unfortunately they got rid of the facade on the front which resembled the streets of India, which is a shame as it added a bit of atmosphere to the place. Still, worth a trip for the top quality food. Service was slightly slow on our latest visit, but again the food made up for it.

I recently visited Mughli Charcoal Pit and had a good experience overall. The food was nice, though I do wish it had been a bit spicier. The service was good as well, with staff who were attentive and friendly.

Nice restaurant on Curry mile. Portions are quite small, so we had to order lots. Good customer service. Worth one try

Bit of a mixed bag, started off strong we liked half the starters but went down hill. Infact we didnt even eat our curry’s the flavours were really not great and the bombay potato’s reminded me of tinned potato’s thrown around in some herbs. The table next to us were also complaining about their food, so sadly either its hyped up on social media or we got a bad evening. I have had many many better meals for the price. Wont be returning.
