I’ve been to Barrett’s Grill several times over the last few years and every dish I have ordered has been excellent. The crab and roasted corn soup is exceptional. All of their salads are fresh and delicious and are definitely my favorite thing to order. The soup or salad and half sandwich lunch combo is another great deal as you get plenty of food and the chef makes everything delicious. Several of the desserts are big enough to share and taste great. We had the carrot cake today which was warm and creamy. I have also had the Berry Napoleon with whipped cream and cookies and I think that one is my favorite.

Outstanding white tablecloths restaurant in Hunt Valley. Steaks done to order. Strong options for vegetarians. Staff is conscious of allergies if diners have special needs. Excellent cocktails on menu. Looking forward to returning for another special occasion!

Tonight was our first time dining at Barrett’s and we were Thoroughly Impressed.
First off, our server Dominic was Phenomenal.
He was ahead of us on every need all night long.
The New Fashioned was an Outstanding treat.
The cream of crab and corn soup was one the best I’ve tasted ever. And my Wife’s Lamb Chops were flavorful and I don’t normally eat Lamb chops. And My Ribeye w/mushrooms was prepared Perfectly. Even the Loaded baked potato was actually “Loaded” unlike many other restaurants.
Barrett’s Immediately, in just one visit has become a favorite of ours due to the Outstanding Service and Flawless preparation of every dish.
I HIGHLY recommend Barrett’s for Drinks, Appetizers and Dinner.
Top notch from top to bottom !!!!

I don’t often go out to Hunt Valley, but on this recent trip I stopped into Barrett’s Grill with a friend for lunch. And I must say the food made me want to take another trip to Hunt Valley asap.

Upon walking through the doors of Barrett’s Grill you can admire the beautiful dining room space that was perfectly decorated for the holiday season. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive giving us time to mull over the menu a while. I ordered the Salmon BLT wrap with fries and was blown away by the flavor. The salmon was perfectly seasoned and blackened, and the peppered bacon was a great compliment. I typically ask for any type of sauces on the side, however, I forgot this time and was still happy with the honey mustard style sauce in the wrap. My dining companion ordered the fish of the day tacos, which was trout and she said they were really tasty.

It was our first time visiting this restaurant—and it happened to be during Restaurant Week! We ordered the three-course dinners, and every dish was wonderful. Highly recommend the crab soup, shrimp scampi, and the 12 oz. prime rib. The staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere was clean and cozy. We’ll definitely be back!

This was my first time dining at Barrett’s Grill. The restaurant is very classy. Our server, Gordon was excellent! He fully explained the menu, made suggestions and was very attentive. We went with the shrimp cargot, buffalo chicken flatbread, Mediterranean flatbread and crabcake platter.

The shrimp cargot looked and smelled AMAZING! The dish is deceiving because you think it’s a full ‘bowl’ of deliciousness, but the dish itself is flat, so there isn’t as much as you think. The shrimp were a bit over cooked but it was still delicious. The Mediterranean flatbread was really good although the dough was burnt.

Between the wine and the food, it was a pricey lunch. I’m not sure if I would go all the way out there again, but if I was in the area I probably would.

I had reservations about making a reservation (pun intended) bc of my experience at the Barretts on the Pike several months back. Went for a dinner with friends visiting from out of town. I mentioned to the waiter that I had always enjoyed the french dip sandwiches but had received one from the Barrettes in Belair that was inedible bc of the bagette being a dense dough ball in no way worthy of roast beef or dipping. Waiter assured me that it was probably a “one off” and that he would speak to kitchen and guaranteed that I would get a delicious crusty french dip that would knock my socks off. I had requested that he substitute slaw for the normal fries that come with it. When the waiter proudly brought out my plate he assured me that I was going to enjoy my meal it was obvious to me that he and kitchen had failed the task at hand. With a casual glance I could tell the promised crusty bagette was yet another doughy imposter. To confirm I took vital signs by I gently pushing it with my forefinger to confirm that indeed it was DOA. In addition my plate was loaded with those nefarious french fries that I had specifically requested waiter ordered fries substitute with slaw. As I was dining with 2 others, who got their meals, I did not want to create a scene and wanted something to eat so asked the him to take food back and bring me something simple you cant screw up…….a cobb salad. Well it took a while and got I salad as the others were finishing their meals. Suffice to say the salad was a mushy mess of soggy greens that in no way resembled any cobb salad I had previously eaten. I ate half of the salad bc I was so frickin hungry but it was mediocre….AT BEST. I would never order it again or recommend it. In summary this establishment and its siblings are overpriced posers that need to get their act together or just start serving double whoppers with cheese.

Two of us arrived about 515 yesterday, Saturday. We did not have a reservation but we were greeted and seated immediately. Our server greeted us within 2 minutes and in less than 10 minutes from arrival we had drinks in our hands. One of us had a cheese free Mediterranean flatbread ( which arrived as ordered without cheese) and the other had the crab cake sliders and a salad. Everything was hot and delicious. I gave the atmosphere a 4 only because it was a little noisy as there was a party in the Vault room and the doors were open. I want to especially compliment the service. From the hosts to the bussers everyone was polite, welcoming, and efficient, even as it became very busy. We had walked out of cpk because even in an almost deserted restaurant no one ever came to greet us or ask about drinks. Good job Barrett’s! Way to train your staff! Thank you for a great evening.

I was so pleased and relaxed…caught up in the meal and presentation. It was like Paradise. Best Thanksgiving Experience Ever! No other restaurant compares to Barrett’s. Full Stop!!
