We arrived around 4 for dinner, and stood for a couple minutes (not knowing if we sat ourselves or if it was a wait to be seated). Eventually we just sat down (reason for 4 stars instead of 5). Our server Mindy was so kind and bubbly, it was easy to get comfortable for dinner. Our food was soooo yummy! For drinks, I got the pineapple pomegranate soda mixed with vodka, my partner got a Paul Aner on tap. (Yum!) For appetizers, we got cheese curds (paired with a delicious blackberry jalapeño ketchup) and hush puppies (paired with a dip I forgot to read and hot honey). Both came out hot and ready, and we enjoyed them lots. I got the mac and cheese (added pulled pork) and enjoyed it! The fried onion rings on top could have been crispier. I did eventually just pick them off. My partner loved the brisket, although it could have been more tender. All in all, very delicious meal. We definitely plan on coming back! And hopefully Mindy will be our server again, she truly was a delightful energy!

Overall the experience was good. Our server Ben did a great job in making sure we had everything we needed. I didn’t give 5 stars due to some of the food items weren’t hot when they came to the table. The fried chicken was okay, though we were offered 5 different hot sauces, they didnt have Texas Pete which is a must-have if you’re from the South like us. The Sliders with the pork belly and fried green tomatoes were my favorite. The drinks on the other hand were all amazing!! The Fig 76 and the Debutante are a definite must try WHEW!! We also tried the drinks that was featured on the Valentine’s Day special which was called Cupids Arrow and Rosa Silvestre..HAMMUSSY!! They were GOODT!!

Very nice restaurant with great food. The fried chicken was amazing as well as the cheese curds and fries. The Jambalaya was way too spicy for us. The negative side was that service. It is extremely slow and the waitress was kind of rude to us. She almost never came to check on us, she brought us the wrong dessert and she even said that she wasn’t payed enough money there to say happy birthday to my son. Definitely that ruined our all experience there.

The spice and sauciness that wasn’t in my Nashville hot chicken WAS in my kickass server Nick
Food: brother got a wagyu burger. Fire. I got the Nashville chicken ($15) …did not have the fire but was still good. Just not typical Nashville hot. There was no spice really.. kind of like barbecue sauce actually.
Service: nick was a kickass sever. Great job leading w top 3 recommendations. Knows how to BS with tables comfortably. He’s sharp. Got confidence. Should’ve promoted this guy to AGM!
Atmosphere: really large space, great for bringing large groups and getting your pick of the litter on what kind of atmosphere you want. Good job dividing spaces here. Plenty parking.

Mixed bag for our dinner last night. Apparently bar tender called in sick so the GM had to fill in. Took 30 minutes to get 2 drinks and 4 mocktails. The waitresses got frustrated enough that she made the mixed drinks. It was 5pm so not that busy.
The GM was not hustling. The Jerk chicken sandwich, farmer salad and tenders were all rated as a 4. But the pulled pork was a 2, brisket 3 and ribs 2. The pork was horribly salty like so bad you could not eat it. Brisket was meh and the ribs well they were typical restaurants ribs. People like the coleslaw and macaroni and cheese. For a $200 dinner on a Monday night for 6 people I guess it was ok, unlikely to return anytime soon.

We had a phenomenal experience from start to finish tonight! The hostesses were super nice. The two bartenders were so friendly and helpful. The she-crab soup was so savory and flavorful, the shrimp and grits perfection, and my husband enjoyed his brisket meal. There were so many things on the menu we’d love to try, but we’re from Ohio so this was a one and done. Absolutely worth stopping for if you are in the area!

Ben was great, a 10/10. Our first time at Southern Social was great. We tried a bunch of different things and everything was great. The fried green tomatoes were AMAZING. Ben was great, he made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal.

There’s a nice smoky aroma upon entering with plenty of seating and space between tables. Our server was very good and attentive and our food came out quickly after ordering. The brisket was very good, maybe just past done. Fried pickles and cheese curds were also very good rivaling the state fair. Some unique desserts finish if the meal. Very good experience I recommend.
