Great go-to for Mexican food! Food is always good, service is always quick and it’s a great looking dining room, very festive. It’s a great place to take a group or just relax by yourself (sometimes you gotta get away). I’ve never had an issue here and it’s always a good experience. Chips and salsa are good. I say that because I have become disenchanted with the chips at a lot of restaurants. Fajitas are my favorite, delicious and sizzling, the way they should be! If you’re in the Fairhope area, I highly recommend Agave. ❤️

Between the two of us we had the green enchiladas and the Mexican enchiladas. They provided complimentary unlimited tortilla chips and salsa so we also ordered the chorizo queso. We shared two street tacos. The food was plentiful and tasty. We left very full.

I am giving this restaurant two stars, and only because the manager and our waiter were both very kind and tried their best to make things right after the incident. Unfortunately, the hostess at the front—whose name I believe was Anne—completely ruined the experience from the moment we arrived.
Her attitude was shockingly unprofessional. When we asked to sit one table over from where she originally wanted to seat us, she became visibly irritated, slammed the silverware onto the table, and then proceeded to speak to the waiter about us in a condescending manner—as if we were misbehaving children. Her demeanor was aggressive and made us feel extremely uncomfortable.
I was visiting Alabama and chose to stay only so my friend could enjoy her meal, which she did. The food was fresh and my friend really liked it. The manager genuinely tried to accommodate us, which I appreciated.
However, the behavior of the hostess—the first person you see when you walk in—set such a negative tone that it overshadowed the rest of the experience. This establishment seriously needs to reconsider who they place at the front door, because that individual represents the entire restaurant.
If you are looking for a pleasant and welcoming dining atmosphere, I would recommend choosing another location until they improve their customer service training.

Service was good, friendly and quick. Atmosphere was good as well. Food was really a disappointment. Bland, very simple, and quite honestly just gross. If they improved the kitchen side (recipes and ingredients) they could do really well.
We ordered fish tacos, the sampler platter, and enchilada Verdes. I don’t recommend any of them. Photos added of fish tacos and chicken flautas.

We are weekly customers at Agave in Fairhope! Out of all the Mexican restaurants locally, this is by far our favorite. Food is consistently great, staff and service are are always great, and atmosphere is everything you can ask for. Highly recommend!

Best flan I’ve ever had. The sopapilla was not as good. It was a hard tortilla with lots of granulated sugar and cinnamon on it. Taco salad was fresh and tasty. And the fried cheese cake was pretty good. I’ll say hit again though, the flan was excellent!!!
