Definitely the best tasting Cajun food I have had. I still have yet to go to New Orleans so I cant compare it to the real thing but the food we ordered was very good. We ordered the seafood jambalaya, catfish and alligator jambalaya, and the blackened catfish. I also ordered a cup of gumbo. Everything was excellent. The gumbo was amazing. The server was great. The atmosphere was quiet and pleasant. I will definitely go back here when I visit Delaware again. It was a little expensive but it was worth it. I wish there was a Cajun restaurant this good near me.

I started with a French Kiss Martini, which was very sweet and tasted heavily of pineapple juice—almost too much so for my liking. The crawfish bisque was very flavorful; possibly a little over-seasoned, but still enjoyable. The bread with the butter sauce was pretty tasty and a nice touch.
For my entrée, I had two blackened crab cakes, which unfortunately tasted undercooked with a mushy texture and were also over-seasoned. The mashed potatoes were very creamy but again, heavily seasoned. The hush puppies had a dusty, off texture and were over-seasoned as well, topped with an equally over-seasoned sauce.
My date ordered the catfish, which he said was tasty but also over-seasoned. He had the same issue with the mashed potatoes and hush puppies.
That said, the atmosphere was beautiful—very quaint, cute, and cozy. I would definitely go back for the ambiance and to try something different on the menu, but next time I’d ask them to ease up on the seasoning.

First time here. Great decorations for Halloween. 5 minute wait to be seated despite not being crowded. Come to find out only 1 server on duty. I would have given 5 stars all the way across the board except for this. The food was excellent and our server tried her best to wait on all the tables. I have been wanting to come here for years and the food did not disappoint

Decided on this restaurant thanks to my coworkers recommendation. It was located in this very cute town square, plenty of street parking. The restaurant was very beautiful with a French quarter theme throughout and it also has bar seating as an option. We were sat right away and the service staff were quick. The food was AMAZING 10/10!!! Definitely recommend you check it out, I myself cant wait to go back and try something new from their menu.

Our waitress was rude from the moment we walked in the door. I had reservations, she said, “oh really”? Looked at the screen and said you can sit here. It took a long time for her to take our order, and it took even longer for it to come out. I don’t mind waiting for my food if it’s cooked fresh. When our order came out, the scallops were cold. It took so long for us to let the person who bought out the food to acknowledge us, then she just told our unpleasant waitress, who took long to come to table. She did apologize, then rolled her eyes. We had to wait another 20 minutes longer for the food. It came out not piping hot, but better. Anytime the waitstaff can just carry your food out without a towel or mitt, it’s not going to be hot enough for me. The apple walnut salad was good until I got to the bottom where it was about an inch of water. I forgot to take a picture. The blackened crab cake on top had a little bit of crab, a lot of fillers, but was actually tasty. Now we see them bringing bread to another table, so we ask our waitress how much for the bread, and she says it’s free. We asked why didn’t we get any, she says do you want some, we said yes. The eyes rolled again. Get the bread and it’s burnt, now we’re afraid to say something, but we do. She says all of the bread come out burnt, that’s why I don’t bring out. But we saw her bring out to 2 other tables and we’re not blind, it’s not burnt! Lastly, I ask for the dessert list, when I tell her what I want, the banana fosters bread pudding to go, she tells me that’s not a good choice because it do not travel well with the sauce. I’m like can’t it go on the side? I say never mind, eyes roll again. At this point, I’m ready to go.

The Scallop (3) appetizer is fabulous however pricey. $18.00
The Shrimp Po Boy was amazing and valued at a fair price.
The Blackened Crab Cake platter was not my favorite.
Amazing atmosphere.

Everyone raved about this restaurant so I had to try, but unfortunately my first visit fell flat. I would maybe rate it a 3.5/5? For someone who has been to New Orleans multiple times and has religiously eaten the staples, I was surprised that typical food items weren’t on the menu (or I didn’t notice them) like etoufee, gumbo, red beans and rice, muffulettas, or even beignets. The jambalaya and Alligator were okay, but not what I thought it would be. Maybe I would need to order something else from the menu, but the items that we picked weren’t it. I would definitely consider this restaurant a NOLA inspired cuisine restaurant, instead of an actual cajun/creole restaurant. Our server, atmosphere, and drinks were great though!

This was such a cute little hidden gem! Definitely reminded me of New Orleans. All they need are the frozen daiquiris. I came in for a birthday, and Rosie definitely took great care of us! I recommend the margarita! For food, our party has the meatloaf, the jambalaya with catfish and the Hafer Salad. The photo is of the meatloaf. The portions were phenomenal. Only problem was that the catfish presentation and breading was not very good. If they switch the breading to cornmeal, and do less sauce, they’ll have a winner on their hands. All in all, we’ll definitely be back!

I visited on a Sunday evening when the restaurant wasn’t too busy. The hostess seemed inattentive, leading to a confusing seating experience. While our appetizers were tasty (though one was incorrect and had to be fixed), the main courses were disappointing. The crab cake had too much filler, and the fried crawfish and oysters were overly breaded and lacked seasoning. The cozy atmosphere and decor were nice, but the service and food inconsistency mean I’d likely return only for drinks and appetizers.

A Delightful Surprise with Authentic New Orleans Flair
I visited this restaurant last night and was genuinely impressed. The food was absolutely delicious – honestly, I was shocked by just how good everything tasted.
The atmosphere is quirky and cozy with a full-on New Orleans theme throughout. The decor really commits to the vibe with skeletons and voodoo elements, so if that’s not your thing, it might feel a bit intense. But if you appreciate thematic restaurants, they nailed it.
Yes, it’s a little pricey, but the quality and experience make it well worth it. What I loved most was that this place offers a refreshing break from the usual chain restaurants. It has character and authenticity that’s hard to find these days. Highly recommend giving it a try!
