We got the karaage which was tasty, wasn’t oily at all and came with a honey mustard type of sauce.
Salmon Lover Roll is such a perfect name for it. Spicy salmon, avocado, cucumber and that torched salmon gave it such a nice smoky taste adding another dimension to the roll
But I think the star of the show was the sashimi from the Salmon Trio Combo. Oh my days, tastes so fresh and can really notice the quality of the fish.

We recently visited this new Japanese restaurant for sushi which is our favorite food ☺️and we were truly impressed. We’ve been here twice and both experiences were amazing.
The service is outstanding the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is very clean and has a great atmosphere.
The food is super delicious especially the sushi rolls. The flavors are perfectly balanced and work beautifully together. Honestly, this was one of the best sushi experiences I’ve ever had. kintako has definitely become our go to sushi spot.

The food overall was standard, but there were a few highlights. They started us off with a soba appetizer that was genuinely delicious — a nice touch you don’t see often. The sushi, however, was heavy on the spicy mayo, which overpowered the actual flavor of the fish, and the spicy tuna rolls had noticeable fillers. On the positive side, the sashimi was fresh and clean-tasting.
The ambience is interesting — it feels like a tavern blended with elements of old colonial Japan. Unique, if a bit unconventional.
Overall, a decent experience for the price, with a few areas that could be improved.

Amazing sushi and easily one of the best sushi spots in Toronto. Everything we ordered was fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavour. There was a bit of a wait to get seated and to have our order taken, but once the food arrived, it was clear why the place is so popular. The quality of the sushi more than made up for the wait, and we’d happily return.

It is one of the best sushi places in the neighbourhood. Sometimes they are so busy that the wait time is too long. The staff are very nice, and they try to serve you the best they can. The sushi is fresh, and I tried 6 types of sushi and rolls here, and all of them were good. The price is also reasonable.

We come here mostly for the tempura, it’s really good – large assorted portion, light, crispy, fluffy batter. Service is friendly but they always seem to be very busy. Prices are very reasonable.

Food and service were absolutely amazing. Should definitely try the kintako special bento box as you get to try a lot of things. If you live in the area or your near by you should come here. You might get a magic trick if you’re lucky!

I absolutely loved my experience at Kintako! The sushi was delicious, super fresh and perfectly made. The service was incredibly fast and everyone working there was so kind and attentive. The atmosphere is also very sweet and cozy, there are paintings from customers all over the walls, which makes the place feel personal and very cozy. Definitely one of my new favorite and will be back sushi spots!
