This place is not as good as it used to be long time ago, when I was growing up in Acres Homes. I ordered one catfish fried and 1 pound of jumbo shrimp fried and some so-called shrimp fried rice. The catfish looked and taste like it was cooked in some old oil and the shrimp were overly seasoned in the rice and fried,and the rice was yellow rice and all of this for $54 which was a waste of money for me.

The food was hot and fresh but the rice was a bit sticky and it’s not what I am used to as far as fried rice it was yellow and not really what I would consider fried rice although they did give you plenty of shrimp I purchased a small order and it was $9 I also purchased a fish special that was $11.75. The area or location was a bit scary and I probably would not have stopped if it were night.

This is the hood spot, but the food is A1. Fried rice with sauteed shrimp goes hard. They sell fresh fish, you buy they fry or you can bring it home yourself and do your thang. I drive far to go there just for that fried rice and sauteed shrimp.

Well I tried to give them several attempts to satisfy my tongue but either I am picking a fresh fish to fry or either they are giving old fish at the back. Either way I am not satisfied because the oil taste is of old entirely too much sodium/salt. I spent well over $50 each visit. I am not returning. I ordered at fish plate and that fish did not taste fresh but old as well. Maybe it depends entirely on something else. I am not sure why they are receiving 4.5 ⭐️’s . I remember back in the day at these family owned “ You Buy We Fry” fish was much fresher and taste well. Not in today’s world.

Love d fish/shrimp but dat crust b to darn hard on both,then shrimps don’t b done inside all dat crust raw shrimp. I feel much as we paying,why not separate our salad from fried items makes salad soggy an nasty tasting put n separate containers.
