The food was great and the waitress was attentive and kind, but at the end of the meal some pieces of rock fell from the ceiling and narrowly avoided hitting the baby on the head. The manager was very dismissive, just told us the building was old so there was nothing he could do about it. No apology or attempt to rectify the situation, just walked away – the waitress then came over and spoke to us and apologised.

Touchdown at La Fountaine was an absolute delight. Tucked away in a picture-perfect square that could’ve been plucked from the cover of a vintage travel poster, this place offered all the charm of a First Class layover, minus the turbulence and tray tables.
We started with cosmopolitans (because a little Sex and the City never hurt anyone) and followed up with champagne , naturally. Both were served with polish and a smile, and the staff spoke English fluently, which made ordering a breeze (no frantic miming or Google Translate required, always a bonus when off duty!).

Food was beautiful here and the waitress was lovely too, unfortunately the manager was incredibly rude and unphased that part of the ceiling fell off right next to a 1 year old child and onto the seat where one of our party had been sat 2 minutes before leaving for the toilet.
Essentially translated that he didn’t care because the building is old and we were just a bunch of tourists.

Given this place 4 stars just because service is hit and miss. Especially the waiter with the hipster look, he really can’t be bothered and leaves a bad impressions despite other waiters being nice and friendly.
We were really pleased with the food. The fish was spectacular, the burger juicy and felt special, and the pizzas are fabulous.
Location is right on the mains quare. Prices are decent.
Just get rid of that specific waiter. I’ve seen other reviews mentioning him specifically and you’ll turn this place into my favourite spot in Uzes.

Delicious food, friendly staff, quick service, buzzing atmosphere with a terrace on the square. I had the seafood pasta which was really tasty. My partner had the bruschetta which had such juicy fresh tomatoes! Menu has everything to offer from local specialities to pizza to pasta.

What a great surprise. The food is quite good and the staff is wonderful. The poisson du jour was excellent! Much better food and service than the neighboring restaurants. Deserves a higher rating. (dark out so picture doesn’t do it justice)

Great pizzas! Very nice flavor combinations and delicious entrees. We also had the Cote de boeuf which was delicious. The staff was friendly and looked after us in a very nice way.
Thanks for the great food and experience! We’ll return!

We came here for lunch as a group. Food was delicious and reasonably priced but the service from the manager was abysmal. A large chunk of rock fell off the ceiling and landed on my friend’s baby and very nearly missed another member of the group. There was zero compassion or sympathy from the manager and just stated “it is an old building”. The waitress was lovely and apologetic but this did leave a sour taste in our mouths. Would not recommend due to the health and safety risks

not ok, the drinks were ok because you can’t do anything wrong with drinks but the food, that’s something else. We ordered the kids menu with the burger, we said “bien cuit” which means no more red in the meat. When we got the food at our table the kids took a bite and we’re shocked because of how raw the meat was. None of the kids ate their food. Only a few of the waitresses were nice and friendly. So do we recommend this with kids NO!

We sat inside as we were unprepared for a storm on our French holiday and cold in the evenings. It felt awkward being inside as the staff kept staring at us, but I had to actually ask to be served most of the time. A bit of a miss-match?
Our waitier of the evening we eventually got assigned spoke fantastic english, and was brilliant but rushed off his feet. His patience was beyond appreciated and his moustach fantastic!
But yes service overall was really a bit memorably awkward more than anything overall, which is a shame as the guy we did get was trying so hard to keep all cuatomers happy.
Food was delicious and worth the visit. Many thanks for the delicious Pavlova – free of blueberries ❤
Toilets were clean, but small and busy.
