Was recommended from Indy eats on Facebook. When we got there we weren’t greeted by the greeter who was standing there. After I walked up I told her we were there to eat. It was awkward, she didn’t really talk. She just looked at me. I led conversation, told her how many…she gave me a beeper. After waiting for awhile, I asked her how long the wait was. She then replied 30 minutes. I was surprised that she didn’t tell me how long the wait was from the beginning, especially if it was that long. The capacity wasn’t real full, but it looked like they Had their hands full. I asked some locals that were waiting also and they said that there is normally an hour and a half away every night. I was excited and thought it must be good with a weight like that.
Although the location is really cool as an old Depot, the food is not nothing special. It’s just your standard average bar food. Nothing stood out at all. I don’t know how they have such a long wait. They were running a special for Oktoberfest and had big pretzels and brats. With those items they advertised it came with beer cheese. Although I didn’t get those items, I requested some beer cheese with my burger. The server informed me that it’s not really beer cheese they just call it that. It’s really just queso. I thought that was weird. The meatballs weren’t bad probably better than the other food.

Laid back atmosphere, watched the Colts game while we ate. Menu had a nice variety of items to choose from. I chose the brisket burger, my husband chose the chili cheese burger. I wasn’t crazy about the brisket on the burger, I just don’t think that it is for me. However, it was very good. I tried my husband’s food and I liked it better, so when we return I will be having that.
Our server was great. She was not pushy or overwhelming and stayed on top of our refills.
I recommend!

Came here on a whim as we were passing through. The building itself intrigued us into stopping here. The menu had some interesting options and the place was well decorated into its uniqueness. My husband orders the hangover burger and I had the juicy Lucy burger. Both us of agreed that the beef itself could have used a bit of seasoning. We also split the giant tater tots, those were really good. The Mac and cheese side dish was also a surprise hit. They didn’t just use watered down cheddar like most places use. The waitresses actually seems to care if we were enjoying everything and were very attentive. All in all it’s a great place in your in the area or even nearby.

I started coming here when it opened and it was absolutely amazing. However, over the years the food quality has gone down. The last time I went, I got veggies as a side and they arrived in a plastic bag. They didn’t even hide the fact they microwaved veggies. Just simply plated them bag and all.
Just sad because the whole concept of this place is great. Just the passion for good food is gone.

Walked right in and reservations bypassed the 45 minute wait. The building is beautiful and the remodeling the inside awesome. The young lady who was our waitress was very friendly. My wife had the lemon drop martini and it was good. The one thing the waitress missed was the drink service. I sat with an empty soda glass the entire 2nd half of the visit. The food was just ok and both of our orders were not correct. They said the computers crashed but the waitress verbally double checked what we ordered and order was still not right after that from the kitchen. We will at least try to eat here one more time when it warms up hopefully with better results.

This place is pretty cool, located in an old depot / mill building. It is a really nice remodel.
The service was fast and friendly.

My wife and I grabbed the barrel tots. Large and creamy tater tots with nachos cheese and sour cream. – suggest!

My wife grabbed a burger with mac and cheese on it and vegetables. I tried the 1906. The 1906 has brisket, bacon, 2 Angus burger patties, spicy cole slaw, onion straws and cheddar. It was a messy delight!

Full bar, sodas, you name it.

The atmosphere was great as well. We will return for more.

Smash burgers and fries were hot and delicious. Service was prompt, friendly, and efficient. Loved the atmosphere!!! Potion sizes were ever so slightly smaller than expected. Would visit again, it’s a neat place, glad it was repurposed into this neat restaurant.

There are times when on travel for work or pleasure you come across a unique find. The Depot is that special gem in Greenfield.

Housed in a former grain elevator with rustic appeal and vintage signage, this restaurant and bar provides the best of American flavor featuring large burgers, flaky fish, and sizzling steaks all with tasty sides. The staff is also very friendly and will recommend food choices to match your mood.

For lunch our crew enjoyed the fish and chips, the club house sandwich, the iconic smash burger and the sweet and spicy burger with blueberry mustard. Full of flavor and presented with style, you’ll leave full and satisfied.

Fully handicap equipped, take time to look around the restored grain elevator. Vintage equipment is on display and the glass floor offers a memorable vantage point to a window back into the history of the building.

We’ll be back to enjoy the venue on our next visit to Greenfield. You should too!
