First time in the restaurant and dined in. I ordered steak but was given a big slab of burger. I was disappointed and told them I didn’t order ground beef I wanted steak. You cannot confuse me with food I’m a foodie I know what I want. I asked them to give me a real piece of meat steak and they did. I wasn’t rude or anything I just didn’t expect to be given that kind lol. If I wanted a burger I would’ve ordered burger. It’s obviously not a steak they should change the description of that menu item if that’s the case. Don’t dupe me with something I didn’t ask for and cover it with sauces and mountain of sides. Anyway, they were nice enough to change it the way I asked. I appreciated that. Thank you for your service and kind understanding!

We almost didn’t go is as the outside is in desperate need of power washing the roof, awning and stone work.
But glad we did as once inside, it is rustic, casual, clean and just great with pizza oven, stone work and great ambiance.
Food top notch too, with large portions, specials and plenty of options.
PLEASE don’t change a thing but do yourself a favor and clean the outside. Thanks!!

A great option for American food in the area. Had a good lunch here. The portions are bigger than I expected – plenty of people asked for take away boxes.
The soup of the day was clam chowder and was delicious, as was the cream of crab soup. Standout of the meal was the buffalo wings. Blackened salmon salad was cooked beautifully and the burger cooked medium was perfect.
The one small critique was that the food was not fully salted or seasoned – lacking a bit of depth. Looking around at the older clientele I suppose it wasn’t that surprising.
Go for large portions of good food!

When we first got here, there was no hostess to seat you so we were looking for someone to seat me and my family and someone did eventually seat us. The food is very good. The Buffalo Wings tasted very fresh and those were probably the best wings I’ve ever had! My Personal Buffalo Chicken Pizza was really good too. I loved the oven that they cooked it in and it was very tasty! The service is very slow though which is the only downside. Other than that, it was really good!

The Cabin Restaurant has the atmosphere of what it would have been like to walk into a mid-18th century roadside inn. The lighting is warm and inviting and the chairs and tables are old-fashioned knotty pine. The log walls invoke an earlier era of simpler times. The layout of the furniture is well done with tables spaced apart, so you don’t feel crowded. Acoustics are great so even with a lot of diners, there is a quiet ambience to the restaurant.
Since there were 12 people in our party, we were able to order an assortment of different foods. The pulled pork sandwiches were excellent, but the cook went a little overboard with the salt. The salads were fresh. A favorite of everyone were the fried chicken dumplings and the beef nachos which were the best I ever had with excellent seasoning and fresh nachos. The food portions were very generous and table service was adequate.
The hamburgers didn’t hit the target with taste or seasoning and the pizza is probably an item best not ordered since although they claim the dough is “hand stretched” it tasted like it came premade off the shelf from a supermarket.

Thirty (30!) of us came to The Cabin for the very first time for a special midday Sunday private gathering, most from from Manhattan or Brooklyn & other parts of NY, but also from NJ< DC, South Carolina and even New Mexico, completely new to this chosen location, and we were stunned by both the quality and quantity of the servings, especially at such a reasonable price.
Five of of 7 at our table who had salmon were knocked out by the huge, yet still perfectly delicious portions, certainly the largest and tastiest I’d ever seen for, again, what was a very modest price. The rice was also unexpectedly zesty, enhanced by cinnamon (?) or some other wonderful herb or spice that we enjoyed but couldn’t exactly identify. String beans were good, and we really were also pleased by the warm, seemingly fresh-baked rolls, the zesty caesar salad and our perfectly fine glasses of wine, both pinot noir & chardonnay.
Overall, a terrifically satisfying dining experience, especially at such a bargain rate.

Absolutely a 5 Star Restaurant!! The staff are friendly and smiling, the atmosphere has a cozy feel and the food is just as good as Gramma’s, or a little bit better, but don’t tell her that!
Definitely try the homemade Spinach & Artichoke Dip…it’s AMAZING!!! And the House Italian Dressing was very yummy! The Mustard Crusted Chicken was so delicious with the Garlic Mashed Potatoes! Drinks tried was the Cat’s Coconuts and Captains Peach which were both a party in my mouth! So definitely giving 5 Stars for overall performance from all staff which includes the Bartender to Kitchen Chef!

I have known of this establishment for many years because of my ride home (passed by it soooo many times)… parking lot always full ! Finally went there for a casual meal and friendly atmosphere… I was only disappointed by the fact that I had missed so many opportunities to go there .. I now plan on making up for lost meals there! The food was delicious, abundant and REASONABLY PRICED!! Service was great!!!! I plan on going back and trying EVERYTHING on the menu ! A true hidden gem!!
