We ordered the Buttermilk Fried Chicken with cheesy grits, hush puppies and biscuits. The boneless chicken breasts were huge. The flavor was full and the meat was tender. Everything on our plate was delicious.
We hope to be back soon.
Being that I’m not an expert oyster aficionado, I had to ask what are all the accessory ingredients were and how do I eat this. Rain(sic – spelling) very patiently explained the process.
I enjoyed the whole experience and would recommend it if you like jazz, oysters and just simply good food.
Besides the oysters I ordered the poutine.
I ordered the shrimp + scallop Alfredo, the seafood was fresh + pasta had lots of veggies + full of flavor with medium spice.
Husband had the chicken + waffles, he said he would have preferred the syrup to be on the side. Chicken was fresh + crispy!
We also had fresh oysters + grilled.
Our server, Donivan was amazing, very knowledgeable of the menu + specials, will definitely be back!!
– Lowcountry Bacon Burger – $19: DELICIOUS! You pay for it, but it is definitely worth it. The half pound patty was juicy and seasoned perfectly. I want to say it had a bit of steak seasoning on it (I asked, but was not definitely answered). The bacon was THICK and delicious. The lettuce, tomato, and onions were fresh and delicious. The mayo was great quality (the Heinz ketchup was good). The bun was good. Even though it was expensive, I’d still go back for it.
– Fries (comes with the burger): Battered and seasoned perfectly. The portion was a little shy of average. They were plenty hot throughout.
– Hush Puppies (complimentary): The hush puppies were great.
I’d love to come back and try their Poutine!
– Service: Super cheerful and helpful. We were seated quickly. We didn’t have to wait long for our food after ordering it. I tipped a little more than normal because I thought it was outstanding!
– Atmosphere: They pay attention to detail. It is upscale, clean, organized, and professional. You can still show up in casual clothing, though. It was well lit with outdoor light. There was a lot of wood trim and brick. There were booths, tables with chairs, and there was a bar. They had TVs with sports, but it was not loud.
– Conclusion: I’d highly recommend their burger. The staff and restaurant are top notch.
Visited at 2pm on a Saturday.
The aesthetics were cool. There are no complaints as far as the service we received. The hostess and our server Raene(spellcheck) were extremely nice and professional. The food however was terrible. I did not enjoy anything I ordered honestly. Everything seemed so tasteless to me. Now this is just my opinion, I didn’t complain about the taste. I just paid my bill.
My reasoning in rating two star was simply for the service we received. The food was awful so it’s hard to rate the restaurant anything higher. If you like sweet collards and food with little-to-no seasoning than this is your spot. Otherwise I’d suggest staying away from this one. It wasn’t worth my time or dime.
Also nice atmosphere, service and tasty fries. Lovely patio. My picky 7 year old did not like the Mac and cheese, but she is a Kraft snob so I wasn’t surprised.
