One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had at a McDonalds.
I arrived at the drive through of the McDonalds at 693 Main St in Torrington at approximately 7:33 pm. I pulled up to the intercom and attempted to place an order. I spoke into the intercom multiple times over a period of about two minutes and received no response, while sitting with my window open in roughly 10 degree weather.
I then drove up to the first window and mentioned the issue to an employee who was taking out trash. He told me to explain it at the window.
After waiting several more minutes behind other cars, I reached the window and calmly explained to the cashier that no one had responded at the intercom. The cashier immediately became defensive, stated that he was the only one working, and pointed to his headset. When I asked if he could take my order, he told me to drive around again and shut the window while I was still speaking.
I drove back around, placed my order, and returned to the window to pay. I attempted to explain that his behavior was rude and asked to speak with a manager or get his name. At that point, the employee and nearby coworkers laughed, and the window was shut again while I was speaking.
There was no apology or attempt to correct the situation. The behavior felt dismissive and unprofessional. A simple acknowledgment of the delay would have gone a long way, but instead the situation was escalated unnecessarily.
I will not be returning to this location and would caution others about the level of customer service here.

This seems to be the hangout. And when I say hangout I mean for the staff. I’m confused as to why they can be so caught up into their conversations and not tend to the dining room. I placed my order at the kiosk before 4 people that came in and placed orders at the register. I get my order after all of them. And the response when I asked how they get their food before me and I was here before them. “A young lady responded that the orders from the register go straight to the kitchen before the kiosk orders. . So once I get my order I got to sit to eat my food but the tables are completely dirty and the ones that were available were taken by individuals just hanging out in the dining room talking with a staff member that I’m guessing just got off shift. This isn’t a complaint as for more of an eye opener of how organizations open businesses in our communities and can care less if the service is topnotch. This is to show you that making money is a bigger factor. I don’t blame the rude, untrained, and ignorant staff. They only do what they’re allowed to do, especially when the manager is functioning in that manner as well. This establishment has been filthy on many occasion. The staff is borderline sarcastic and rude. The service industry gone to shit. McDonald’s you have to do better overseeing.

The inside of McDonalds exists primarily for elderly people, employees taking breaks and people remembering they have to eat while they’re on the road- like us. This one does that well.
The employee who served us was really nice.

I’m not the type to complain, but how are you gonna serve breakfast and give me orange juice mixed with water I got breakfast in the morning of April 20th about 9 to 10 something in the morning and I ordered a Mc griddle and a number five with two orange juices and when I receive the orange juices, I didn’t drink it until I went home as soon as I went home and I drank it it’s was mixed with water It is so diluted that you could tell it’s not orange juice. I am very disappointed and if they were out of orange juice, something could’ve been said.

Every single time I come here there is always an issue. The few times I have come in the morning, my bagel sandwich is always burnt. Even though the stores closed, I can still order and arrive and get an email saying it’s cancelled. When I arrived one time, I placed the order ahead of time and when I got there they said they couldn’t make it because they didn’t have the staff and told me to go to a different McDonald’s. It is insanity how every time I try this location there is an issue with the food or the app, it’s just not worth it

We do DoorDash and the night crew is absolutely lovely and incredibly friendly. Always have a smile on their faces and quick with the orders.

the whole dinning room was a mess. The staff seemed to have more control than the manager on duty. We had an order that was messed up and the staff cursed us out in Spanish not realizing that we actually speak Spanish. After that incident it made us look more at the facility and the whole place was a mess, floors sticky, drink machine gross and the drain was backed up with sludge. None of the employees had hair restraints, all seem to have fake nails and were itching their heads while dealing with food. Bathroom were not checked on mens room was disgusting with the toilet overflowing. There was so much wrong with this visit

McDonald’s is definitely not as it was meant to be and that is FOCUSED ON THE KIDS. There are 2 McDonald’s in my town and neither is that bright cheerful attention grabbing for children as the corporation was meant to be leading to bring kids happiness. HOW DO DULL GRAY COLORLESS FACILITIES GOING TO MAKE KIDS HAPPY INSTEAD OF DREARY???? Put them back to the happy colorful fun place to visit that kids are actually excited to go to. The way it was supposed to be and meant for. And for peetsake lower your prices your customers aren’t the ones that asked for $15hr to get orders incorrect or cold

I used the kiosk but it wouldn’t let me put it on a potato bun so I asked the manager and the immediate red flag was he smelled of alchol and he said they couldn’t do it on the kiosk so he would run me up on the cash. I used a coupon on the kiosk and he wouldn’t let me get the deal on the cash since the kiosk used it. i worked at McDonald’s in Iowa and I have first hand seen the manage beable to modify anything. I once had a manager change a 23 cheese burger order to be $1.56. They all are a bunch of incompetent people.

It’s McDonald’s — you know what you’re getting, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want. Consistent fries, solid coffee on the road, and a quick meal when needed.
I use it often enough to say this one holds the line pretty well during the day. But fair warning: after 9pm, the drive-thru can be brutally slow. Like… bring-a-pillow slow. If you’re pulling in late, just know you might be there a while.
