I took my wife to this place expecting for it to be fantastic for a place that advertises BBQ food. So tonight we decided to give it a whirl. I ordered the brisket platter hoping to get the mac and cheese to try but unfortunately they didnt have. So I ordered the baked been and coleslaw just thinking they couldnt mess that up. Sadly I was wrong, oh so very wrong. The Brisket taste was like dry flavorless burnt sandpaper smothered in bbq sauce that taste like ketchup with brown sugar. The look of the brisket was that of beef jerky. The baked beans tasted straight out of the can added with sugar. There was no flavor to the coleslaw, just watered down mayo and cranberries. I was heavily disappointed with just this platter. I mean if you cant cook bbq food dont serve it. It is insulting to all of those who actually enjoy eating bbq food.
My wife got a chicken club because we thought we’ll just in case we didnt like the platter we would like the sandwich. Welp we were wrong again. Chicken was super dry there was hardly anything sauce wise to the sandwich and the sandwich was on white bread instead of sourdough which it should be served on. Anything else it ruins the sandwich. The fries were overcooked and very crispy.
This was our first and last experience with sweet tea express and we will not be back. It was a waste of money and time. DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!! Unless you dont like your money and enjoy having bad experiences.

Shout out to the Costco gas attendant who recommended this place when I asked for someplace to get a great burger, “Not a chain. A brewpub, taproom, dive bar, or mom & pop joint.” She sent me here and it was SO good! I think I ordered the Sweet Tea Comfort Burger (?). Bacon was spilling out all sides, loaded with lettuce, tomato, pickles, cheese, sauce. Got potato salad on the side, also very tasty with a peppery kick. Had to take most of that to go as the burger filled me up. Bottomless fresh brewed iced tea was a bonus. I saved this one on my Eats & Drinks list and am looking forward to eating here again when I pass through.

As someone who has spent the majority of my life living in Tennessee, their sweet tea is top notch. And their Blue Cheese Burger is the best I’ve ever had!

Excellent excellent excellent I walked in I was referred by the guy at the Costco gas station I think the cook’s name was Brian it was a super nice guy with a beard and he gave me a surprise I just asked him to give me the best thing on the menu and he gave me the tri-tip skillet I think but it was so good so flavorful The English muffin was hot and had lots of butter and the strawberry jam was great too I’m so grateful to have found this place sad that the truck stop diner is closed down grateful that I found my new favorite stop while I’m passing through town. Highly recommend you try this place out We need to support small local run business not these big chains that are running all the mom and pops out of business

The service was quick, the food was on point, and the staff made me feel genuinely welcomed. I left more than satisfied and already planning my next visit. Easily a 5-star spot-no doubts about it. Best bbg for the right price!

5 STARS! This really was a great place to eat. We had breakfast here and it was so good! They use the good kind of thick bread for their French toast and my husband loved his sweet tea omelet. The biscuits and gravy were really good too. We had awesome customer service and received our food quickly. If I’m in the area again I will definitely go here again.

I have been to sweet tea for breakfast many times. I felt like a burger and thought I would go local as opposed to a national chain. OMG I had the Sweet Tea Burger (similar to a Westrtm Burger) and it was NO JOKE. It was one of the best burgers I have had in a while. I ordered sweet potato fries that were amazing too.

Club on white bread and not toasted. My Husband ordered Brisket and it was dry and burnt and smothered in BBQ sauce to hide it. Looks like people like breakfast here more. I’ll try that maybe instead.
