This place is amazing. The food was absolutely great and Jeremy was a great host that night and explained everything in detail. We can highly recommend to order the Jumbo Oysters when available – they were very meaty and tasty. For the mains we had grilled squid and a fish platter. Both were delicious and we were super full afterwards that we needed to skip the dessert. You need to reserve a table days in advance! We will definitely come back.

THE place to get proper fish in Melkbos. I had an excellent meal that surpassed my expectations – line caught kingklip with a subtle blue cheese sauce, caramelized onions and garnish. Simply delicious and very satisfying. Accompanied by chips and roasted vegetables.

Phil Rosenthal often mentions in Somebody Feed Phil the phrase “best… ever.” I never do that, but today I will. Best oysters ever and best swordfish ever. Jeremy, our waiter, made us feel like kings. All in all, for that price range, this was the best food ever—and maybe the best in any price range.

As someone who came for a true vegan experience, this dish was nice but not unforgettable. Beautiful presentation, fresh ingredients, good balance, but overall a 6 out of 10.
I genuinely appreciate having a plant based option, but there is much more potential here. A coastal kitchen like this could create bold, creative vegan dishes inspired by the sea, not just vegetables on a plate.

Orca is undoubtedly of the the best seafood restaurants up the West Coast and if a first timer we assure you that you can book with the absolute confidcence of knowing this is going to be next level. The service is the perfect balance between attentive and intrusive, the staff knowledgeable and “understanding” . To us, a meal if more than just the food, it is about the whole experience , the people, the place, and the vibe. For us dining out is an occasion and Orca truly makes it just this a 5 star occasion in all respects. PS: Seriously recomend kicking off with a starter of Cajun baby squid… you will have to pinch yourself to confirm this heavenly offiering is in fact reality.

Food second to none yet again, we return from Liverpool, UK every couple of years and we were here last in Feb 2025 and now Jan 2026
The food is exceptional , the service is warm, professional, inviting and comfortable, would not go anywhere else for seafood or fish. We had mussels, KingKlip, crayfish and roasted vegetables. Love the food, Love the service and Love Ricky and his team can’t beat it Thank you once again
