Best unique fried chicken in the area. Person taking order was very familiar with the menu and was able explain and recommend menu items. Music in the background allowed table conservation. Did experience draft when entrance door opened/closed. Parking a challenge. Recommend food experience!

I’ve been a customer of this Namkeen location for a long time, but I feel compelled to write about a recent negative experience.
My wife and I ordered food from here, and unfortunately, after eating the Nashville and Tikaville burgers, we both experienced stomach upset. While I understand this might be an isolated incident, it was concerning.
Adding to this, the service during this visit was also disappointing. I stood waiting to be acknowledged for over two minutes while a group of five employees were talking amongst themselves.
I don’t usually write negative reviews, but this combination of poor service and a bad reaction to the food was a very poor experience. I hope they can address these issues, perhaps starting with their cooking oil or food preparation practices.

Namkeen in Chatham will take your tastebuds on a roller coaster ride. I usually have their Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich and Dhamaka Fries…..both were insanely fresh and bursting with bold, authentic flavors. The chicken was perfectly crispy, juicy, and had that addictive spicy kick without being overwhelming, while the Dhamaka Fries were loaded with chaat masala magic and that tangy, spicy punch that keeps you coming back for more. Portions are generous, everything tastes made-to-order, and the staff is super friendly. Easily one of the best Pakistani-fusion spots in NJ…..already craving my next visit! Highly recommend.

A nice Halal Southern influenced fried Chicken sandwich joint. It’s a good option if you are feeling the southern style chicken sandwich.Mind you their sauces are usually hotter than what is advertised. Food quality is a hit or miss. Sometimes it’s really amazing .. couple of times I received the food in sub par quality where chicken is drenched in oil.

We ordered just in time as they were closing.
The food is so good! My son loves the waffles and tenders, and we love the sandwiches. Shawn Pedro are awesome!! They deserve a raise for the hospitality they showed us.
Even though they were closing in five minutes, they allowed us to use the restroom and were so kind as we were leaving . This is why I will keep returning to Namkeen.

I placed an order for me and my friends through Uber eats app. As I arrived, they were still working on my order. I saw the cook in the back, dig the four pieces of chicken back into oil before putting the spicy medium powder on it and then placed it in the box. As they confirm that that was a part of my order, I asked them what was the thing that you would give the chicken back in? At first The cashier, including the two spanish workers in the back was quiet and then the cashier responded that it was oil. Surprised to discover that they dip a Fried Chicken piece back into oil before seasoning it I asked them. Why would you do such thing? She responded that the chicken comes out dry sometimes so that’s why we dip it back into oil.
The Restaurant is selling old chicken dipping it back into oil before giving it to CUSTOMER to make it look fresh. This was a terrible experience and I will not be buying Fried Chicken from this place any longer because I do not know any Fried Chicken that follows such practices.
This matter should definitely be investigated further because this is a heath hazard for everyone that’s eating their food.

Delicious!! Namkeen is by far our favorite chicken spot around! Chicken is juicy, well-flavored and has a kick (I do the Nashville mild but you can also get ‘naked’ aka just breaded without spice). Fries are great, service always friendly! We visit both the metuchen & the OG Chatham spot often (and bring our kid’s friends post soccer matches).

To all the New Jerseyans or anyone that’s visiting the Chatham, NJ area, check out Namkeen @eat.namkeen. It’s a Pakistani flair to Nashville Hot Chicken…..We are familiar with Prince’s(The Family of Andre Prince Jeffries – The originators of the Nashville Hot Chicken) and Hattie B’s, both of which I had the pleasure to eat at, but Namkeen is different……and I LOVE IT!!
The Sandwhich:
I decided to go with the Clucking Waffle Sandwhich….It’s hot chicken, with pickles, coleslaw, chipotle aioli, on a jalapeño and cheddar belgian waffle….doesn’t that just sound amazing?? Don’t think of this as a sweet chicken and waffle dish. Oh no, this is very much so, a savory chicken sandwich that has replaced an ordinary bun with a pillowy soft waffle. The chicken is boldly seasoned with some high kicks from the hot sauce. I did ask for the mild because I know my limits when it comes to spicy foods, but the mild was still a bit too spicy for me, but trust me, the sandwiche was amazing!
The Side:
For a side item, I picked the Pataka Fries and added Nashville Chicken to it. This dish comes with fries, chipotle aioli, and a spicy maple glaze. The fries were certainly then highlight of this meal. The chicken and fries were both crispy even with this dish packed with sauce. This is something I certainly will come back for!!!
To wrap up, the food here is amazing, and I must say Namkeen is certainly paying Nashville Hot Chicken and the Prince family homage with it take on hot chicken. I will certainly return. Although the food was excellent, one small suggestion, instead of canned sodas and fountain drinks, I would have loved some sort of lemon, lime, and lavender frozen drink to cool my mouth down with…. ……Please consider working on a drink menu because, again, the chicken is

Searched up this place on our way to short hills mall. We are so glad to have stopped here. Everything was so delicious; we ordered the Nashville sandwich, Tikka melt and Dhamaka fries. The sandwiches were so juicy and flavorful. We have never had fries these delicious!! The staff and service was amazing, and they were so busy with dine in and take out. You can tell by that this place is amazing.
