Yesterday afternoon I bought nacatamales. When I was going to eat them that night, I opened them and realized they were completely raw—hard raw rice, potatoes, and meat. What happened here? I called the restaurant the next day to report it, and they didn’t give me any kind of response. They don’t seem to understand the problem they can cause by selling raw food! They asked for pictures via WhatsApp and then just ignored the issue. I WROTE TO THEM AND THEY DID NOT GIVE ME AN RESPONSE!

Had an amazing experience at Pinolandia Hollywood! This spot is authentic Nicaraguan comfort food at its best — from their flavorful carne asada to perfectly seasoned gallo pinto, every bite was delicious. The portions are generous and the prices are very fair for the quality you get.

If you have food allergies, this is NOT the place for you. They don’t understand the severity of anaphylaxis and food cross contamination. I’m certain the food is delicious, but at what cost? From what I observed, while picking up an order for a customer, I would never eat here or recommend this spot to anyone. Before you order, stand back and watch how they use the same tong to pick up meat, poultry, and anything else with the same utensils, and/or place an item in a container by mistake, return it to the receptacle and use the same plate/bowl/container to plate the corrected food item. My suggestion? Get yourself an Epi Pen if you have food allergies, because this spot does not take precautions in this area. Doesn’t matter what they say, this happened IN FRONT OF ME. Stay safe.

I ordered food for my son’s birthday party and EVERYONE at the party praised the food. The carne asada was juicy, flavorful, and tender. The gallo pinto was delicious and fluffy. Maduros and tajadas were perfectly cooked and not swimming in oil. Will definitely keep Pinolandia in mind for my next party. Thank you all for the GREAT service.

Delicious ready-made Nicaraguan food. A typical plate consists of carne asada, gallo pinto (rice n beans), plantains (crunchy salty or sweet ripe), small vinegar-soaked cabbage salad, with a tiny bit of picante on the side. Plate will cost less than $20. You can add a queso frito (fried cheese) $3 or anything else for an additional $
For vegetarians, ask for gallo pinto, tajadas verdes (salty) or maduro (sweet plantain), queso frito (fried cheese), ensalada (vinegar cabbage salad). Add a manuelita (cinnamon pastry roll) or ask for another veggie option. All for less than $20
Typical drinks are made of grains or fruit with a lot of sugar: Cacao, Tamarindo, Maracuya, Cebada, Semilla de Jicaro, Pinolillo, and others. Depending on cup size, less than $10
There are also desserts like tres leches, pio quinto, picos, and other pastries Prices vary depending on the item, but less than $10
The room is decorated with Nicaragua idioms, pictures, and crafts.
There are souvenirs in the form of a t-shirt, cap, or other folkloric item.

The food was ok. The carne asada had a strong taste of lighter fluid , the place was very smokey inside , the parking was difficult and we had a soup that it was spilled outside of the bowl to the second plate and all over the tortilla. Not a great experience.

I have ordered take-out from this location over 10 times. Giving it 4 stars because there are times the food has not been as good as other times. However, there have been more good than bad experiences. With that said, the review is mainly based on the items I order the most, which are the carne asada meal, which brings gallo pinto (rise), queso frito (fried cheese), and sweet plantains and the pollo a la plancha meal. Both meals are deliciously flavourful and enough to go on a food comma afterward. The meals also bring a small side of coleslaw and a small container with hot sauce, which are pretty good. Prices are also pretty reasonable. I recommend this place if you’re in the mood for Nica food. Again, it can be a hit or miss sometimes, but for the most part, they’ve been pretty good..so I keep coming back.
