My daughter and I drove from Baltimore to try Pleroma Cuisine after we saw a local review of the restaurant on TikTok. We both ordered Egusi that came with pounded yam fufu. It was incredible! The ambiance was very warm and welcoming, and the staff was very friendly. We will be returning! I highly recommend this place.

WOW! From the minute we walked in, it got better by the minute. Not only you walk into a very nice place but the service from the host, the waiter, the bartender and at the end the chef himself was excellent! The food was EXCELLENT; the flavors, the temperature of the food, it was just amazing! I ordered the spicy goat soup (and I love my food spicy) and I have to say, it has been the best goat I have ever had; it was an experience of flavors! We are only here for just two nights and have plans for tomorrow’s dinner but I’ll cancel and will comeback here as the menu is so expensive and everything looks great!

I had such an amazing experience at Pleroma Cuisine! The owner went above and beyond for me. I had my wedding dinner reservation on February 13th, and everything was absolutely perfect. The food was delicious, and all of my guests loved it.
On top of that, I needed a last-minute dinner on the 14th, and she graciously accommodated me without hesitation. Together we made it work, and once again, everything turned out wonderfully. Her customer service is outstanding — she truly cares about her guests and it shows.
I’m so grateful for the experience and will definitely be going back. Love this place!

The atmosphere was atmosphering, the vibes was vibing, the pammy was palming, if I had ordered the snapper, I’m sure that it would have been snapping. This spot was worth every dime spent.
I enjoyed everything that I ate and drank here. I recommend this spot to everyone that appreciates good things. My favorite bite was the spicy goat meat that I had as an appetizer.
Bathrooms were extra clean, staff get an extra for customer service. I need the palm wine they serve here in my city!

I visited the restaurant couple months ago ordering Jollof rice with fried fish, both flavors were amazing, I was totally impressed, especially it’s my first time trying African food. And so recently I came back for to-go order, Whole Fried Red Snapper with Jollof Rice, with a high expectation that it’ll taste as good as before, but it was such a big letdown. The jollof rice wasn’t as good, in fact it didn’t taste good at all, it was a bit off-taste, dominated by tomato sauce without any flavor and spiciness of habanero (which I really like from my previous experience), and clumpy. The fish was ok, but for $26 meal, the fish size shouldn’t be this small (did not look like the menu photo in their website at all). Tbh, it’s the worst $26 meal I’ve ever had. I arrived at the restaurant a little bit over one hour after their opening time but it was weird (and creepy) to find the restaurant was totally dark, no lights, nobody, as if it’s not on business yet. I was standing there for a moment until the server brought my food out (from and to the darkness..). I’ve never been in a restaurant with this situation before. And it’s not Halloween season. Anyway, I hope they can improve, but that will be my last time ordering food here.

This is literally the best West African Restaurant in DMV. The portions are huge. Authentic, just like mom’s cooking. Definitely going back . Customer service was impeccable.

This was our first time ordering Pleroma for our weekly catering events at the office. Ms. Bianca was very helpful in helping us put together a menu. The food was very flavorful and delicious. The jollof rice , the melt in your mouth beef stew, and the chicken went the fastest. Make sure you order enough, then order more on top of that if tou order. The chicken patties, and the veggie samosas were another hit. Staff were literally talking about the veggie samosas for hrs after. I was the host and I was lucky to get a chicken pattie only because someone grabbed one for me. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, and will order again.
