This El Pollo Rico location is close to my residence so, I don’t have to drive all of the way to Austin anymore. I was not even aware it had opened. The food was great. I had the half chicken meal. This chicken is EXQUISITE. It will have all of your taste buds singing. This will definitely become my favorite location.

Service is okay. No major complains. The lower score is because the food lacks flavor. I’ve been to many other locations and never really have an issue with flavor.. everything here always lacks salt. Unfortunately this is the closest location so I really hope you take my review into consideration.

Not sure why it’s taken so long to do this review… perhaps it’s because we have El Pollo Rico so often! Usually 2-3x per month. We generally get the same thing… a whole chicken with the sides (beans, rice, onions, salsas). The food is simply good! Our “go to” for a last minute meal. We’ve also had the Caldo de Pollo (chicken soup), which is also good. Easy dinner via the drive thru lane! Recommend El Pollo Rico, give them a try!

Food is absolutely DELICIOUS!!!! My husband LOVES their flour tortillas. They’re so delicious! All the food here is freshly made, and scrumptious! We always buy a half chicken with two side dishes. Their rice, Charro beans, and plantains are fabulous!

I absolutely love El Pollo Rico’s food but they need to really work on their customer service. I got greeted with a hand out the drive-thru window for payment. It took 3 females to run my cc which I saw when I looked into the window because it was taking way too long for my receipt/cc. Once the other 2 females saw me looking they then scattered trying to play whatever off. After I received my food, in silence, I asked the cashier if she spoke English. She asked if I wanted to talk to someone who spoke English. I answered no, I proceeded to tell her that she didn’t say a word to me when I drove up. She said, ‘Oh’ giggled and closed the window. 11/9/25 @ 11:58am

It was good! When you need fast food that is joyously not fried, this is an AWESOME option. It’s quick and flavorful. I’ve had better charcoal chicken, but not near this accessible and affordable. 5 stars for all of those things!

Delicious food and great service! The chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the sides were fresh. Definitely one of the best spots for a quick, tasty meal. Highly recommend!

Have been here a couple of times now food is pretty good. Usually do a whole chicken, the setup is nice corn Tortillas , beans, rice, green sauce and grilled onion …mmmmm. Also a big fan of their barbacoa tacos, not too greasy and full if flavor of course served with onion and cilantro and a lime wedge. My only complaint is they serve ya in a To go box complete with bag even if dining in lol seems not very cost effective but hey. Will definitely hit this spot again as it definitely hits my spot.

First time here…I have to say that the chicken here is really good…in California they have a El Polo Loco…it used to be rotisserie chicken, but they turned it into flame grill… When I did that, I stopped going this place here, they actually remind me of the old el polo loco chicken in california.So good.Thank you so much for being original
