Utah’s oldest continually operating saloon (since 1879). This taxidermy-strewn hole-in-the-wall bar is a local’s favorite.

Lisa made us delicious cheese burgers , served with chips and craft root beer. She was friendly, helpful and made us feel right at home.

The jukebox contains both kinds of music… Country and Western!

This place is definitely unique. It’s one of Utah’s oldest operating saloons. The inside is fairly small but that doesn’t detract from the place. I think the small size adds to the atmosphere and ambiance. The first thing you’ll see is either the hundreds of dollar bills stapled to the ceiling or the stuffed St. Bernard on the wall.

The saloon is a “seat yourself” with their drink menu tacked to the wall near each table and the food menu on their napkin dispensers. Don’t be fooled by their popular burger. You get two patties AND a polish dog with the normal fixings of a burger to include grilled onions. If you’re wanting something smaller, stick to the Mini Star Burger. It has one less Patty but tastes all the same. It also comes with a bag of chips.

I didn’t try any of their beer but the drink menu did list a lot of local brews on tap along with the general favorites. The saloon also has a nice area to play pool if you’re game.

Burgers, dogs and beer and toss in some chips and a great selection of beers. Cash only, great friendly staff and and a decor that has to be seen in person to be fully appreciated.
Must stop place to eat (and drink) if you are anywhere around it.

I never wanted to leave a review here, only cuz this place is suck an old historical place. I’ve had good experiences to okay experiences here! I’ll be back, but this time the service was so bad, that I have to finally say something! I am an animal lover, but come on are you serious a dog eating scraps under our table?? I had to shoo hit away several times! If you want animals roaming your facility and in and out of the kitchen fine but make sure it’s not eating scraps under peoples tables! It’s nasty to some of us!! And being allergic hmm! Ur right I can choose not to eat there, but my cash is as good as anyone else!
Today our service was horrible, 20 minutes to service, then coming up demanding for us to order the cook served our burgers, and the server was put off I was asking to make sure my burger didn’t have certain things on even made an ugh sound and rolled her eyes! I even apologized for asking.. why should I?? Didn’t even ask if we wanted more drinks!
Shame on you for making such a great place look bad!
Sorry for complaining on such a good fun place.. but wow a dog and bad service!

This place is truly historic. The service is the worst. We came in early for dinner to avoid the dinner rush. We sat at the St. Bernard table (if you know you know) , We soaked in the historic atmosphere and after 25 minutes our waitress stopped to get our orders. A couple burgers and chips. 45 minutes later we were served our burgers and bags of baked lays chips. We had noticed the Cash only signs above the bar but not sure if this was just a silly joke posted under a jackalope. When the waitress came by to drop off the tab. I asked. She was obviously bothered by my question and pointed at the Handwritten CASH ONLY post. I was worried because Huntsville is a distance from banks and most of the stores close before 6pm. I told my husband I’ll walk outside and try to find an atm. I wandered outside and the charming town had nothing like a bank anywhere. I went back to troubleshoot this cash issue. My husband had seen other diners go to the atm in the bar. Relieved. I wasn’t going to wash dishes. We withdrew cash paid our tab, tipped the waitress and left the oldest pub in the area. I was disappointed in the lousy service the fact that in 2025 no option for payment other than an old atm with a $3.50 fee to pay cash. I loved the idea of this place but the experience was unpleasant.

Step back in time… but make sure you don’t step farther than the front door before getting ID’ed Old country music, beers and burgers – what else do you need? Make sure you bring cash and your manners.

The oldest running saloon on the west side of the Mississippi! A very unique bar with alot of history. They mainly serve beer but have a few other drinks as well and serve burgers and hot dogs. The burgers and dogs are actually pretty darn good considering that’s all they have on the menu.
