The service here was so nice. It gave me southern hospitality vibes even though we’re not in the south. I asked the waiter about the fried shrimp and he said that there have been mixed reviews and if I didn’t like it I could get something else. It ended up being good and a larger portion than they said it’d be. My friend liked her buffalo chicken wrap. A nice way to catch up after coming home for the holidays.

U get complementary biscuits with apple butter an the apple butter is the best I’ve had an they do sell it in jars too take home. This little country restaurant is was the perfect lunch stop! We were seated quickly, our waitress passed out menus and took drink orders in a flash. There’s something on the menu to please everyone’s tastes plus the prices are great. All the meals were served quickly, the entire group satisfied with no complaints, plus the ladies appreciated that the restroom was clean.

Both were really good but on the second round. I had just another order of shrimp.i was very hungry, so I told my server. I needed 3 sides. I had the Mac and cheese mashed potatoes and gravy. Beef gravy on the first round…and cornfitters. On the second round, as I said, I just had shrimp season. Shrimp mashed potatoes and chicken gravy. And more corn fritters LO. L cherry pie to take home. I like Hickory Ridge because you’re treated like family and that means a lot to me.

The ribs could be smoked alittle long to make them a bit more tender. The sauce was great, but wasnt enough to cover the ribs. The biscuit was a bit burnt to the point I could just only eat the center, which tasted great. I only wish the exterior wasnt so burnt. Over all I like my experience and will try them again.

This is casual family dining at its best. From the moment we walked in, we felt like part of their family. Everyone was incredibly friendly and happy to answer any questions we had. Trina was attentive and took great care of us. The menu was varied, and the portion sizes are more than enough. Save room for dessert because the coconut cream pie was delicious. It is worth the detour off the interstate!!

Went here today with my family, my sister, and brother-in-law and it was unanimous…we didn’t care for our meals. Turkey rice soup may have had a tablespoon of rice, golf ball sized crab cakes that were loaded with filler and not good, filling that was gooey, bbq was cold, cole slaw was bland and had almost a marshmallow texture, brisket covered in what tasted like canned gravy, meatloaf was spicy,…Sorry, to sound so negative, but everyone’s meals tasted very cheap.
The good was our waitress was very friendly and the biscuits were good.
When in the area we’ll head on up the road to a restaurant on the right where the food is always good, the portions are huge, and the staff is always very friendly.
