Great atmosphere; I love the vibe here. The low-light setting works well for groups or an intimate date. Service was great as well.

As for the sushi: this specific style of preparation isn’t to my liking. I didn’t enjoy the combination of warm rice and room-temperature fish. While the rice was nicely seasoned, it fell apart every time I tried to pick up a piece of nigiri with my chopsticks or my fingers. The edamame is served chilled, which isn’t to my liking. Additionally, the rolls were cut wonky; the nori had torn edges rather than clean cuts.

I would definitely go back for the atmosphere and other menu items. They serve The Calling Chardonnay, which is a fantastic Californian wine—oaky with a nice body.

The fish is always fresh at Sugarfish! One of the staples in sushi restaurants in the country. I was just confused because they kept telling me I ordered another crab roll and I told them I didn’t and they said it’s included but I had already eaten it. Anyways they were nice about it though. I think the Trust Me sets are great you can’t really go wrong with any of the sets. It really gives you a diverse sushi experience

I was told this place is a must-try, and honestly, it wasn’t bad at all!
The service was excellent — and surprisingly, it’s a tip-free restaurant, which caught me off guard but in a good way. Pricing felt reasonable for the quality.

A couple of things to note:

The edamame should be hot, especially for an omakase-style experience.

I didn’t walk out feeling completely full, so the portions could be a bit more generous.

The wait time was about 1.5 hours. Maybe offering reservations would make things easier and smoother for everyone.

Overall, still a solid spot and worth trying, but a few improvements could take it to the next level.

This place is amazing! I ordered delivery from the midtown location and wasn’t too impressed but I wanted to try another location, eating at the restaurant. What a difference! Me and a friend both got “Don’t think just eat” (a pretty good deal at $76) which is their omakase plate with the best of everything; edamame, sashimi, negiri and hand rolls. Everything was great and brought out in perfect timing. Hands down, the best albacore tuna negiri I’ve ever had!

For a chain restaurant, this place is the real deal.

5 stars all around. Great service, delicious sushi at reasonable prices yet sufficiently filling such that I wasn’t hungry 3 hours later — which is a frequent issue I have with sushi

Put our names down 5:15pm an early November Saturday and got a table 45 minutes later at 6pm. Not too shabby.

Incredible quality sushi for a solid price. My partner and I went in on a Saturday afternoon and waited 30 minutes for a table. We both got the Nozawa Trust Me which was incredible.

My only complaints were that it wasn’t quite enough food for the price. I left hungry. Also, they don’t have gluten free soy sauce which is ridiculous. And when we were leaving, I paid cash and it seemed like nobody knew what to do with it… we waited at the front desk to pay for 10 minutes while everyone ran around trying to figure it out. While we were waiting we saw the manager accept a $100 bill from a French couple; I couldn’t tell for sure, but it looked like they were asking to hold a table for later in the night. It was pretty upsetting to see because this place doesn’t accept reservations. Weird place but I’d probably return for the quality.

Love SUGARFISH, always go for dinner every time I’m in town!
The prices are fair for the amount and quality of food. I love the unfiltered sake which also has a great price.

Environment is super nice and “jovial” and that might be why there’s always a long waiting line. But worth it.. just don’t get there starving but ready for a ~60minute wait

This time I took out and had it at home! Another solution for the lines

The ingredients are fresh and of good quality, but this is a restaurant best suited for a simple, straightforward meal. It is not an ideal setting for a date or a gathering with friends, as the atmosphere is quite basic and the service was below expectations. While you will eat well, the overall experience is fairly standard and does not stand out as something particularly memorable.

You can’t reserve, but they have a great system. You can leave your number / name and they’ll shoot you a text when you’re soon to be seated. Great to go be able to sit somewhere else nearby while you wait for your table.

We were seated at the bar, very helpful and friendly staff.

The sushi itself was amazing. They had a tasting menu with a lot of smaller options, would definitely recommend!!

Best part, it’s a ‘no tipping establishment’. Prices you see are what they are, fantastic.
