We stopped at Potrero Mexican Restaurant in Owosso twice now and have been thrilled with the food and service on both occasions! The first time my husband and I shared a double-sized fajita meal…it was outstanding! Lots of delicious meat, perfectly seasoned. The second visit, we all had different dishes, including our adult children, and everyone loved their meals. Thank you for the great food and friendly service! (Better even than the Mexican restaurants in our own hometown.) We will be back for sure!

This is officially the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. The shrimp fajitas were beyond amazing, very delicious shrimp. The medium size white cheese dip and guacamole were very big portions and both sooooo good!! Wonderful service as well. I will definitely be coming back here soon!!!

Authentic Mexican restaurant that is tucked away in Owosso. The good was fresh, well seasoned, and large portions. Prices were reasonable in comparison to other Mexican restaurants. The wait to be seated was a bit long (it was Mother’s Day), but once we were seated, our service was fast, and the waitress was friendly.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The waitress messed up our order just a wee bit but she made up for it generously. Other than that we had a 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ star dining experience. It was the first time either of us ever ate there. And we both agreed that we enjoyed everything about our lunch that day. My friend had actually driven 4 hours just to visit and take me out to lunch that day and we couldn’t have picked a better place to eat. Thank you for making our visit so special that day! We are both very grateful to the entire lunchtime staff.

Fast friendly service, Jayden did great on her first day! I’m not sure if it was the owner or manager, but he was friendly as well. I was very impressed with him shadowing Jayden to make sure she was getting the training she needed. Everything we ate and drank was very good. It was busy!

Recommend they hire more waitresses. 1 isn’t enough. If you have only 1 hr for lunch, go elsewhere. Love the food. Workers are friendly, but obviously overwhelmed. You don’t want to bother them for more chips, etc.

Missing half of my take out order, what we did get was cold and the chicken tasted canned and the quesadilla was disgusting. Even if we got our food that we ordered $30 a person is crazy for such subpar food. First and last time ordering from here.

Been going to this restaurant for YEARS. I adore everything that comes on my plate. The waitresses are lovely and the atmosphere is nice. I believe people who are rating low aren’t being fully honest. Whenever someone mentions Mexican food sounding good, I always recommend El Potrero.

I took my son out to dinner here. Bill was 39.71 not bad. I tipped cash $11.29 put 0 in the tip line and wrote the total 39.71. But the next day they added a ten dollar tip to the bill on top of the cash I left her. I was told this happens all the time. It’s never happened to me before any where ever. They have their records and the receipt and of course I’m right and they admit that. They told me in a text that I need to prove it and I need to drive in there to do so. I have representation on this matter it’s the City Of Owosso’s Attorney R. Burlingame if anyone has a similar story and want to write a statement call the city.
