I frequently visit the Chipotle location on Western Boulevard in Jacksonville, NC at least once or twice a week. When I reached the front of the line, I noticed that the chicken was visibly empty. What little remained was dried out and sitting at the bottom of the pan. Meanwhile, the steak, carne asada, and all other meats were fully stocked and freshly filled.
I politely asked the employee if there was any more chicken available. She checked underneath the online order area and came back saying there wasn’t any more. She made no effort to resolve the issue and seemed focused only on moving the line along, despite there being only one or two people behind me.
I then asked if I would still be charged steak price since there was barely any chicken available. Her response was dismissive and rude: “Well, there is chicken. You just asked if there was more.” The amount left was clearly insufficient and not acceptable quality, only a few dried-out pieces. If I’m paying for a meal, I expect fresh food and a reasonable portion.
I declined the order, and she simply said “okay” and moved on to the next customer without any attempt to help or show concern.
I was really looking forward to my meal and am now inconvenienced by having to drive to the Richlands location just to get a bowl—simply because this location did not have chicken available and chose not to address the issue or provide proper customer service.
I understand this may seem minor, but it reflects poorly on customer service and food quality. I will return in the future, but I felt it was important to make this experience known
The employee further down the line was just as bad: rushed, unfriendly, and literally slung my food around. Since when is a burrito supposed to be rolled into a ball?
To top it all off, I sat down to eat and my food was completely cold and I mean COLD. This was hands down one of the worst Chipotle experiences I’ve ever had.
Whoever the general manager is at this location seriously needs to reevaluate their staff and hire people who actually want to work and treat customers with respect
Far to spicy. It was so hot that I couldn’t even taste the meal!
