City Barbecue in McDonough, GA! Get 10’s across the board for me ! From the second we walked in, we were welcomed with genuine smiles and positive energy. The staff are incredibly friendly, patient, and attentive, making sure everything was perfect from start to finish. The service was fast, organized, and made us feel truly valued as a customer. I am beyond disappointed with our experience tonight. We spent $33 for a half rack of ribs and a half chicken, only for the chicken to be served completely raw. Not only is this a massive health risk that could have landed my husband in the hospital, but the service was equally poor. After waiting 15 minutes for the food, the manager didn’t even have the decency to apologize; she sent a staff member to handle the refund and only walked over to authorize it without saying a word to us. Between the dangerous food quality and the lack of professional accountability, we won’t be back. I’d rather eat at home.

I come to City Barbeque pretty often, and it never disappoints. As someone from Texas who knows good BBQ, this place feels like home. The brisket is always tender with that perfect smoke ring, the sausage has great flavor, and the sides hit every time. The collard greens taste like they came straight from a Sunday kitchen, and the baked beans have that perfect mix of sweet and savory.
Chereka took great care of us and made the whole visit even better. She’s friendly, attentive, and makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in.
If you love real BBQ with great service, this is the spot. City Barbeque has become one of my favorite go-to places in town.

Good service, nice atmosphere. The brisket was very good, the baked beans cooked with the brisket was delicious. We didn’t like the pulled chicken. I went back the next day and ordered a large baked beans. Very nice selection of sauces.

Just had the BEST experience at City BBQ in McDonough! The service was spectacular, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the food was fresh and tasted good. We were missing a few items from our order, but Chereka more than made up for it with her bubbly personality and assistance with completing my order. The brisket was tender and cooked to perfection and the sweet tea was good and Southern. Would recommend over and over again!

This was our first time visiting City BBQ in McDonough. We were leary because it’s a fairly new restaurant in the area, but we decided to try it anyway. When I say that THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT, THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!!! We each ordered 12pc wings, with potato salad, side salad and fries, Baybee. They wings hot, crispy and seasoned to the bone. This potato salad was somebody’s Grands recipe but more importantly we didn’t have to waste 20 sugar packets to sweetener the tea, IYKYK . I wasn’t able to take pictures of our food but I’m going to add pictures of the to go dinner we got.

this is around the corner from me and it’s one of my go to spots. i come here because i love the brisket and i love the sides (omg sooo good). they have really great quality food which is something you probably wouldn’t expect. recently, i submitted an order online and when i received it, my order was not quite correct. diamond and christian were so gracious. they corrected my order and didn’t give me any hassle or attitude about fixing it. these are the type of people we need in leadership; they are doing a phenomenal job. please keep them & pay them more, thank you.

City BBQ is amazing! The food is delicious. The staff are wonderful but I want to give a special shout-out to Steven. He is truly a kind, professional, and helpful person.
