We came in on a Saturday night. Got seated right away. It wasn’t busy and was nice and quiet which we liked. Waited over 5 minutes for someone to come offer us a drink. We almost left and then she came by. Her name was Jacqui. We ordered drinks and an appetizer. We waited over 10 minutes to get 2 waters and a sofa. So long we got our appetizer the same time. When our food came I didn’t have silverware. I sat there and waited until I finally just got up myself and went to the bar and asked for silverware. Never refilled our drinks. Asked for a soda refill and she passed us 3 times and I watched her standing in the back after. I finally asked another employee and they got her to bring us a refill. The food was ok. We won’t be back due to the poor service for mediocre food. There is clearly bad management.

This was a terrible experience….again. About a year ago I visited and waited to be seated. Stood at the entrance for over 20 minutes and hosts and servers never stopped. It didn’t seem very busy, but others also waiting ahead of us said they had been waiting over 35 minutes to be seated, so we left.

Tonight, almost a year later we decide to give it another shot. We only waited about 5 minutes. The host was nice but said she was frazzled and said she needed to clean the table first. The restaurant wasn’t very busy but a few tables were taken. The table was still wet when we sat down and the menus were very dirty. Not great, but ok I guess. We waited about 15 minutes to have our orders taken. The waitress was not great, but took our orders. Then we waited and waited. Over an hour for 2 medium pizzas and still nothing. We were told at 30 minute they were just coming out of the oven. At an hour and no updates we went to the front and said we were leaving that it had been over an hour. Our waitress said “that’s fair.” She explained that she told us our pizza was out of the oven because that’s what she was told.

We weren’t the only ones. Another man at the front was upset about a take out order taking so long. He asked to just have what was ready and to skip the bread they said they were waiting for. The table next to us had to get up to try And find a server to get their bill. Another table walked out after 20 minutes and their orders hadn’t been taken. I believe there were only 3 servers. One told us the delay was because of a large holiday group. A large group did arrive but, they did not arrive until 45 minutes after we ordered.

It’s been a year since the first bad experience and a year later they are still a mess. Never returning. Over an hour and 20 minutes and we left without food ever being served. We never even got to tell our waitress about the dead bug on one of our plates.

We came here on a Saturday night for dinner. This was our first time. We had a gift card so wanted to try it out. When we walked in the atmosphere was nice but it took us about 5-6 mins to get someone to greet us and seat us. Even though multiple employees walked by no one stopped to say they’d be with us or even a hello. Once we sat down our server was nice but took awhile to get drink, refills, and forgot silverware; my husband had to get up and get it himself. Mind you the place was not busy and multiple tables weren’t bussed. At this point we knew we’d never return. Luckily the pizza was good. Sadly you’re better off ordering Papa John’s take out.

Stopped by recently for a late lunch/early dinner and was happy to have hit right in the happy hour window… Grabbed a 8″ custom combo pizza and a pint of beer. The food and service was good, and I enjoyed talking with a few of the wait staff. The total bill was under $20 (including a $5 tip) and was a good experience for me!

However, I’ve read many of the most recent reviews for this SMP location and I must say that there’s quite a few service related bad ones… Sad if you ask me, cuz it’s so very avoidable.

I’d quickly fire repeat offenders, give raises/promos, to the high quality servers/chefs, and give “small bonuses” for “above and beyond” customer service. The manager must lead this transition by example, and if the owners don’t have the right person for that, fire them immediately, and get someone in that cares deeply… Just so very correctable!

The. Worst. Experidnce. Ordered online, came by to pick it up 20 min later? They hadn’t even pulled the ticket out of the system. Waitres, name starts with an A is just rude about it, kind of a ‘whatever’ attitude. Come back 20 min later? They had given my order to doordash. Not only that? But she says to the manager (same waitress) “that was the order we gave to doordash.” She knew about it! As in, not my problem, we’ll start the order again when he comes back. So the manager started my order again. The worst. You guys used to be the best. What happened?

Came to pick five pizza and a salad Sunday morning at 1145 like the website said to and the doors don’t open tell 12, we put the order in three days before, I guess y im doing this the pizza and salad were not ready, they didn’t even try to make it right. I had to Pry it out of them that the pizza was not even ready and hadn’t even started cooking them. Is this your new customers model!!!!! This is how you run your business. The
manager should be fired!!!!!! GOOD that I didn’t give you a tip online

We arrived around lunch time. A couple ahead of us was seated. One of the servers stormed past rattling off a tirade to anyone that would listen. A young man at the counter told us he couldn’t seat us or allow us to wait as they were at full capacity for the two servers they had working. I wouldn’t waste your time or money at this establishment. Go down the street and enjoy Louie’s, a local tried and true restaurant.

Currently waiting on the remainder of our food. We have been sitting for over 1.5 hours. We are not impressed with the way this restaurant is ran, complete disaster. This is not a kid friendly restaurant. Food is wet on the bottom and the spinach and artichoke dip was a ball not a dip. There are more people waiting to be seated then there are seated. I would caution anyone to come to this Smokey Mountain on a Tuesday evening. The only positive is the waitress Amber was very nice.

The food is very average. It’s just okay. Burgers are good, but the patties are SMALL for the price. The cajun pasta was pretty good, and the portion is large, but it had no real depth of flavor. Very simple, like a boxed pasta. I dont know. I’ve tried to love Smoky Mountain, but I just dont. The shoestring fries look beautiful but are decieving as they are extremely overcooked, even after we sent them back. The fries were snapping into instead of having a nice crisp texture with a fluffy potato inside. They were dry like a potato chip. Seriously, scrap these fries. They aren’t good. The service, however, is always good and somewhat friendly. The restaurant itself is cozy and relaxing. Great, big, comfortable booths.
These recipes just need to be updated by a trained chef.

I have wanted to try this out, so the kids took me for lunch. The Greek penna was excellent. My daughter said the white cloud pizza was wonderful. The carnivore was good.
Go for the lunch special. Bread, drink, salad (get the house salad!) And pasta for 14.00!
Otherwise $20.
