Update 5/21/25: The appetizer teriyaki chicken sticks and spare ribs are big and tender! Not the little flat things at some places. This place is great! Don’t let the “strip mall”appearance deter you. They are currently
updating the store fronts also, so make sure you find this place! I’ve been coming here for six years. I’m glad they survived the pandemic. It has always been carry-out only and the family is super nice. You don’t even have to leave your car! My General Tso’s combo (white meat) was super chunky and fresh, with flavorful fried rice. The fried dumplings are delicious. The “Chef’s Specialties” have never disappointed.

Quick eat for a shrimp fried, shrimp egg roll and fried scallops. Just average. Very small shrimp in the fried rice: not many shrimp. Very little flavor. Same with the shrimp egg roll. Very little shrimp and the vegetables are very bland.

I initially thought Dragon Express in St. Michael was a hidden gem, but after consistent visits over the past three months, it’s clear their customer service is severely lacking. I’ve been a loyal customer, eating there every Monday and occasionally on Thursdays. However, during my most recent visit, I was extremely disappointed.
The woman with black hair and glasses took my order, but when I received my food, the egg roll I ordered was missing. When I went back in to ask about it, she immediately became defensive and argumentative. I even offered to pay for the missing item just to avoid conflict, but she insisted she was right and refused to listen.
Another staff member, a man asked if I wanted a refund, but I made it clear I just wanted the rest of my order. Despite my calm approach, I was met with rudeness and dismissiveness. After supporting this business weekly, I left feeling disrespected and frustrated.
They lost a loyal customer over an egg roll and a complete lack of basic courtesy.

First time trying Dragon Express. I ordered 5 items, overall food was good, eggrolls were good cabbage was crisp and they were packed full. Also got steamed dumplings which were ok the sauce they came with was very good. For the mains I order two different lunch specials. For the price you get a lot of food. I tired the Boneless spare ribs, the flavor was good the char was not there, last I tired Chicken and Broccoli the sauce had decent flavor both came with plenty of rice. Overall what I got was decent service was quick and staff was friendly.

Can you give ZERO stars??? This place is filthy and the food is terrible. I am not kidding, folks! All my ratings are honest and come from the heart. I do not like giving lousy reviews, because all these people are trying to do is make a living. But if you ask me, I’ve never had worse Chinese food in my life and i’m 50 years old. I ordered the chicken wings and when I pulled them apart to eat them, the meat was YELLOW… the crab rangoon was “chewy” and had no crab/flavor. My wife ‘s chicken fried rice was horrible. The rice was overcooked and the chicken was flavorless. Like it was frozen and thawed a few times and then just heated up. And here’s the kicker… when you order, they don’t look you in the eye and write in Chinese… so.. I really wasn’t even sure if they had my order correct until they brought it out and we looked in the bag. Stay away from this place, we threw our food away after we got back to the hotel room… might have saved our lives!
