If I I could give this place 100 stars, I would! I used to live in McKinney, TX and would frequent Grimaldi’s in the Watters Creek complex fairly regularly. Since moving out-of-state, I dream of returning to this restaurant fairly often. Their hot honey pizza is the best I have ever tasted, and leaves you salivating for another bite. The lemon salad is extremely refreshing. The decor really leaves you feeling as if you are in an old-style pizzeria. I’m counting down the days until I can return to Allen, Texas to this location, specifically. Their Plano location is a great secondary option, but definitely not as great as this one!

Overall Rating:

Food: 5.0 (in my opinion a minimum of 10 stars)
Service: 5.0
Atmosphere: 4.75 (it was noisy the last time I went in, but still amazing vibes)

Lunch with my brother and my youngest son. Showed up around 1 pm and had no issues getting a table. Paris was our server and did a solid job ensuring our dining experience was enjoyable. We started with the Caprese ($12) for appetizer. Standard and nothing extraordinary. Then we had a Large House Salad ($12) with the Grimaldi’s house vinaigrette. Good but nothing “Wow!”. For the main entree, we split The Don 18” ($31) which was just right. The crust was crispy and flavors robust. Slight adjustment to the sauce would’ve made it perfect. It was more watery/thin than a thick consistency. The toppings of meat upon meat and then more meat was what we were looking for. We also ordered a Margherita 12” ($17) for mom and my other brother to go. All-in with tip was roughly $90.

Inflation needs to cool off!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)

Absolutely incredible experience ! We tried the BBQ pizza and the bruschetta —both were out-of-this-world delicious . The flavors were bold, fresh, and cooked to perfection in that signature Grimaldi’s style ️✨.

Crispy crust, melty cheese , and toppings that pack a punch . Everything tasted authentic, comforting, and unforgettable ❤️.

If you love pizza, this place is a must-visit !

Took the Grandchildren for a treat to have good pizza and sit outdoors to enjoy the view at Watters Creek. Was told at the beginning they were understaffed and it would take longer for seating. Not a problem. When called to seat no available seating outside so we’re seated inside in front of a storage room with a ladder poking out in front of a curtain. There goes hopes for fun environment. Waitress was nice and apologetic about wait times for food. We ordered 3 pizzas. After an hour we received two with promise of the third coming soon. After a while the waitress told us the pizza had a hole in it so they had to start over and make a new one. We waited. 3rd pizza finally shows up and half of it had clearly burned crust that made it uneatable. Waitress arrived with bill over $100 for our party of 8 and 3 pizzas. I knew it was pricey pizza and would have been worth it if it was good. However, considering the wait time to eat and the 3rd pizza being way longer and burnt, I was surprised they didn’t offer to give a discount, or in my opinion shouldn’t have even charged me for the 3rd pizza. Never again, expensive mistake.

If you want fresh, no frills, flavorful top notch Pizza, say less and scoot yourself into Grimaldi’s! Thin crust pizzas allow you to taste and appreciate the freshly sourced toppings and not to mention the smoke, from the wood fire oven. Did I mention about the sauce? Easily the best tasting pizza sauce ever for a chain pizzeria, you can drink the stuff! And it’s not wonder they sell it by the jar, it’s that good!

Pizza was so good! It’s thin crust-and you have 3 sizes to choose from. We got the biggest size and finished it. They offer wine and beer along with cocktails. You are also able to build your own pizza.

Grimaldi’s in Allen is another reliable choice for great pizza. The pies are consistently well made, with a good crust, quality toppings, and solid flavor every time we’ve been.
Service is efficient, and the atmosphere works well for a casual meal. It’s an easy place to go when you want good pizza without overthinking it.
If you’re in the mood for dependable, well-executed pizza, Grimaldi’s delivers.

I called and reserved a table at least 6 hours before we wanted dinner and when we got there they said no one added in the notes that I wanted an outdoor table to watch the weekly concert outside so we had to eat in the corner with a broken fan in 90 degree weather. We called ahead of time for a reason. Then, when talking to the manager he said there’s nothing they could do and that the fan was broken so we just “had to deal with it” The staff are so unaware and don’t even hold the door when you are trying to go from the outside patio to inside and let the door hit you on the way. Also, there was sauce from the previous customers on my plate at my “new cleaned table.” They don’t take good notes about reservations and I won’t be back. Would not recommend. Lastly, be aware of all the flies! Half of the time eating dinner we were swatting flies!
