At the heart of this charming establishment is Lisa, the owner, whose extraordinary culinary skills are now more prominent than ever. With recent changes in the kitchen, Lisa has admirably stepped up, masterfully handling the dual roles of chef and owner. Her dedication to crafting each dish to perfection is both inspiring and heartwarming.
Complementing Lisa’s hard work is her daughter Nicole, whose efficiency and warm smile make every guest feel like part of the family. The love and commitment from this family duo create a welcoming and delightful atmosphere that resonates throughout the cafe.
Our visit was nothing short of remarkable. The blueberry pancakes were a dream come true – fluffy, bursting with flavor, and served in generous portions. But the true culinary masterpiece was the biscuits and gravy.
It stood out as the best we’ve ever tasted, a perfect harmony of flavors that left us both in awe.
The steak, alongside perfectly seasoned potatoes and over-easy eggs, was another highlight of our breakfast.
Each element of the meal was prepared with care, reflecting the skill and passion behind the kitchen’s offerings.
Though it’s a 30-minute drive on a good day for us, Salty Girls Island Cafe is well worth the journey.
The outstanding food, combined with heartfelt service, ensures a memorable dining experience.
We’re already looking forward to our next visit to this delightful cafe, where every meal is prepared with dedication and served with a genuine smile and love.

Olde Fish House Marina, Pine Island Rd., Matlacha, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.
Beside a eatery this is a fresh caught seafood market.
My anything on the menu birthday meal.
I got grilled shrimp, coleslaw, onion rings, and hush puppies.
I loved the cocktail sauce. Spicy enough.
Fresh grilled out of the water shrimp. a nice cole slaw and perfect hush puppies.
But the onion rings were bad. Beside not enough, the coating was too hard.
It also was lacking in flavor.
Service was great…I had to tolerate the red tide smell , though a large school of 7-8 catfish was fun to watch. They like the rings.
So to sit outside and fresh fish give them a try.

Olde Fish House Marina, Pine island Rd., Matlacha, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on my meal and some chatter.
I order some crab cakes and the seafood combo.
Crab cakes. When I was presented with the cakes I thought they were burnt. But when I dig into them they were great. I forgot that as oil is used in cooking it turns dark. But still usable and has no problem as long as the chef knows what he is doing. Bravo!
Now the combo. Fish, excellent shrimp, fried clams, hush-puppy and Cajun steak fries. It was a marvelous meal.
But with a big problem. The cocktail sauce was REALLY old. I know, I have had old cocktail sauce in my own fridge. It was extremely thick. A nod to the server and situation fix.
Ah yes the cole slaw, fresh ,crunchy not overly mayo, very good.
Service up to Parr.
Will be back for more.
Well this is my first review of the year. I must say its good.
This is a market & eatery. You cannot get it any fresher. It comes from the ocean to your table.
I had fried mahi mahi. Cooked to a golden brown. With tasty cole slaw, hush puppies and delightful garlic french fries.
My server,Brandon, was outstanding. Very knowledgeable and attentive.
Not a fancy place you are on the water and out doors. Plates are paper or such. A bit pricey, but all seafood is expensive in Florida. I believe they charge more so the Government can get more tax money. ( There is no income tax in Florida)
Everyone I talk with were great.
My only issue was leaving the parking lot. A bit of a struggle with only a 2 lane road.
Despite this
I highly recommend you give them a try.
