We are famous for our daily fresh hand cut Pork Schnitzel, which you can have hand breaded and pan fried or grilled. These are also available with Chicken breast. My husband as a German butcher by trade, makes his own Bratwurst. Formerly voted the 6. best German Restaurant in the Nation! Simply said REAL good GERMAN food.

Average rating for food. I’ve had better and I’ve had worse. Disappointed in the Schnitzel bc the breading was soggy…It just peeled off. The meat was quite thin and overcooked. The sausage sampler and “potato pancakes” were good. The Special of the Day was good, beef with gravy over noodles. Disappointed in the potato salad. I guess I was hoping for something like German Potato Salad. It just tasted like regular potato salad. The sauerkraut didn’t have much flavor either. Sorry, but a little seasoning and caraway seeds would spruce it right up! They need to redesign the menu because it’s a bit confusing, maybe defining what each type of food is, add headers, bullet points or numbers, etc. Service was great, very nice waitress who explained everything. She wouldn’t need to spend time explaining if the menu was better organized and explained/described the menu categories and items.

I stopped in for lunch during a quiet period, which made for a relaxed and enjoyable experience. I started with the large pretzel served with beer cheese perfectly salted, soft, and fluffy, and an excellent pairing with the rich, flavorful cheese. For my main course, I ordered the jägerschnitzel with grilled chicken, sauerkraut, and Spätzle. The portion was generous, and every element was cooked well, with balanced, spot-on flavors throughout. I paired the meal with two one liter German beers, which were excellent and complemented the food perfectly. Overall, a very satisfying lunch and a place I would gladly return to.

Service: Our server was attentive to our needs, friendly, patient with our group making decisions on what to get, and helpful with any questions we had.
Atmosphere: Their restaurant was clean, presentable, & roomy enough for groups to sit together. The decor takes us back to Germany and I enjoyed waking around looking at their keepsakes.

Call and make a reservation, they can get busy. First off, the atmosphere is absolutely amazing. Live band and it was a pleasant volume so you could still carry on a conversation. Very home like and immediately welcoming. Food was amazing – all three of us finished everything on our plate and left amazed at the flavor and happy. The service was good too – front was friendly and waitress was attentive and running around the entire time – hats off to her. If you’re looking for something different yet comforting definitely give this place a try.

If you are looking for an authentic German experience, The Bavarian is where you want to be. The beef in the sauerbraten was cut it with a fork melt in your mouth butter. The beer cheese pretzels were amazing and our server Lucy was very attentive and funny the selection of German beers were delicious. Very nice experience overall.

The currywurst and spätzle were absolutely phenomenal — one of those meals where you stop talking after the first bite. Cozy, adorable atmosphere and super friendly staff made the whole experience feel like home. This place has officially become part of our Destin tradition. Can’t wait to come back next year!

Great food. Authentic cuisine and live music. Staff seemed to be having an off night but all told lived up to expectations. We had the Reuben, which was different than we’ve ever experience, and the schnitzel which were both off the charts good.

Overall, positive experience and good food. Waitress was very attentive and nice. No draft beer but a good selection of bottled beer. We has 3 courses and all were good but not over the top as a memorable experience. The building and decor were German style of course with an open seating arrangement.
