If you’re someone who loves southern, down-home comfort food then Louisiana Famous Fried Chicken is the place for you! They’re serving up tasty and authentic soul food with flavor in every bite! The service was friendly and attentive, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was okay. There was black mold and rotting celling panels from a leaky roof but that was away from the where we were seated. It also was very cold inside and it was only 70 degrees outside. Other than that I’d say this is definitely a place to try out if you’re in the area or passing by on the highway, just probably get it to go haha. Overall I would try them again!

My wife and I got the 2 and 3 piece mixed chicken meals with Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, collard greens, red beans and rice, hush puppies and corn bread muffins. We also got sweet tea for drinks.

To start, the chicken was cooked fresh to order and came to the table nice and hot. The chicken was juicy and perfectly cooked with a nice flavorful breading/skin that is thicker than most other fried chicken places so it has lots of crunch when you eat it.

Now for the sides, from best to worst. The red beans and rice was good and had bits of meat and vegetables in it. It reminded me more of a jambalaya than red beans and rice but was still good. The collard greens were nice and tender and also had bits of meat in with it. Some places add too much acidity to their greens but not these, they were juicy and soaked with flavor! Their Mac and cheese was nice as it was creamy and cheesy. Not watery by any means and the noodles were tender and almost melt in your mouth. Lastly, the mashed potatoes and gravy. You can tell that the potatoes are just instant potatoes and not homemade and I can’t tell if the gravy was made in house but together they had flavor but were the least favorite of all the sides.

The hush puppies are a little bigger than a quarter each and taste just how hush puppies should taste, I really enjoyed them. The cornbread muffins were also good but I wish they were warm when they got to the table because they were cold to the touch. Some butter served with them would have also been nice.

They have sauces that you can add with your food and I asked for hot sauce and it really kicks up the heat with your chicken but I was disappointed to find that they had generic brand hot sauce and not Louisiana Hot Sauce. If you’re serving Louisiana Famous Fried Chicken then you GOTTA have Louisiana hot sauce too.

I do like when places make their own sweet tea but this is not one of those places. I asked the server and she said they don’t make it in house and get it in a bag from some place she didn’t know the name of. Folks, it’s not that hard to make some sweet tea yourselves and is probably cheaper for the business. Do it right and make it yourselves. The flavor will pay off because I can tell when I’m drinking brisk compared to homemade sweet tea.

Overall, considering their name, they came through with their chicken and sides and the flavor did not disappoint. They have a few stickers on the wall that say “all about the flavor” and they stay true to that motto. If they just did a bit more with fixing up the place and didn’t cut corners on some of their food and drinks this would definitely be a 5 star place but I’d still say this is a place to try out and I would come back for some Togo goodies. Thanks again y’all!

Ok, so we finally tried this place out after hearing how good the food was. We did carry out, and got a little bit of everything we liked so we could try bites. We ordered the whole wings, which were huge with alot of meat on them. Breading was crispy, and the chicken was juicy. Also ordered was the Mac & cheese, green beans, Cole slaw, corn muffins and mashed potatoes. All the sides were fresh and tasted like dinner at grandmas! These were made, they weren’t dumped from a can and thrown into the oven. Prices weren’t bad at all either, definitely didn’t disappoint. Check them out, because it’s some good eatin! Oh, and the sweet potato pie is amazing.

This food is so good. I’m talking absolutely delicious. Jumbo whole wings, creamy mac and cheese and seasoned collard greens. We dined in and the service was good as well. They do serve out of take out containers but its no 5 star restaurant so I was cool with that. Just come here and try the whole wings. Tell them Veapeachy sent you.

So delicious!! The coating on the chicken had just enough Cajun seasoning to let you know the spice was there! Juicy. Full of flavor. Good prices! The staff was friendly and the manager made it a point to visit our table! Definitely worth it!

I had to change my 5 star to 1 due to my meal. My perch sandwich didn’t have no seasoning very bland and the coleslaw is very mayonnaise taste no type of sweetness at all. I’ve tried their gumbo, red beans and rice and okra which me being from New Orleans, this doesn’t even taste like the big easy. Now the only thing I would say that’s good is the fried gizzards, but sometimes those are a hit or miss if they are too chewy.

First time trying this place. When I walked in a was greeted by 2 very nice women. You can see the people making your food which was nice for me. The building itself was a little off putting for my liking but I still ordered the 12 piece family meal. The chicken was fried hard which is what we love. It also had great flavor and wasn’t dry from being over cooked. Mac and cheese, the greens and the corn bread were all definitely homemade and tasted good. Better then other places mac and cheese that taste like commercial made food. Will definitely recommend this place and I will be back soon. Thanks for a good dinner.
