Stopped in for breakfast. It was really busy, which is a good sign, so service was a little slow but when the food is good I’ll take it. The food was good! We had the Mediterranean and meat lovers skillets and the banana Nutella pancakes. They were large portions too. They have a nice variety of breakfast with wraps and sandwiches. I can’t wait to try another skillet!

I live 45 min away and was visiting family in the middle so we choose this place. At noon this place was filled but no wait to sit. Looked like you can order breakfast at any time of the day. There was 15 of us and our drinks & food came out hot, fresh & fast. Sandwiches come with soup & a side and everything very affordable. We were all very impressed and had to get a handful of to-go boxes bc of their large portions. Highly recommend. Would love to go back soon!

Great Find…place is a hidden gem in Illinois. The place is extremely clean and well kept. The menu has alot to choose from and the servers were friendly and fast.
The food was great and was hot and fresh. The prices are within in reason also.

Wow. Absolutely delicious. This is where I want to eat when I’m craving homemade “American” cuisine. I ate my entire salad. The ranch dressing is homemade and so delicious. The Philly Steak sandwich is like a warm hug for your belly. The chicken dumpling soup is old fashioned and so flavorful. I am definitely coming back.

This is the staple, reliable, friendly diner you hope for. Quick but attentive service and a perfect menu, the basics and more. The owners are conscientious and care. There isn’t staff turnover so you are assured a knowledgeable waiter. Great local spot!

After eating at Jack’s several times for breakfast, we will try other breakfast places here and there, and we always say, “just not as good as Jack’s”. They have the best pancakes and french toast in the area. Even the fancier chains known for their pancakes. Anyone that I talk to about how much we love Jack’s agrees that it is a great place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Service is always good, even when it looks like it might be a long wait, they are pretty fast at getting tables turned over quickly, without rushing you.

Saturday was our first time visiting Jack’s Cafe, we heard about it from a friend and knew we needed to try it out! Saturday morning’s breakfast was wonderful, we got lots of food for the price. Even though the restaurant was full of people it wasn’t very noisy nor did it feel crowded. The waitress was very nice and we thought that the price that we paid was great for the two of us!
On Sunday, we decided to go back for lunch with our two sons. The restaurant was full again and it was much louder during this visit. Almost so loud that we kind of had difficulty hearing each other at our table but we were also sitting in the middle of the floor. You definitely have to try the french fries and the barbecue wings are an excellent appetizer! It’s nice that we actually got 10 wings to be able to share amongst the four of us. Both visits were nice but we definitely prefer the quieter setting for breakfast on Saturday morning.

This was my first time here. My son and I were traveling and seen this place. It was pretty busy for the day before Thanksgiving. We ordered burgers and they were very good. The young female server was very friendly. She even laughed at my dumb attempt at humor when I asked if there is a same name discount because my first name is Jack. Overall a great experience!

I stopped at Jacks Cafe in hopes of scoring an awesome slice of pie. Alas, their pie cooler was on the fritz…and so the selection was very limited this day. I did end up having a delicious Italian creme cake for dessert. It was excellent.

I had started the meal with their chicken noodle soup… nice big chunks of chicken and veggies (i like)! Bread service also provided.

For the main show, I went with the breaded tenderloin, smothered in mashed potatoes and brown gravy! Holy Smokes! The tenderloin itself was really good…. nice piece of meat underlying it, and then breading was also flavorful.

I washed it all down with a delicious and refreshing Coca Cola.

Hope to try that pie next time Debbie!

Great place to eat morning, noon, and evening; clean with an atmosphere of comfort, and friendly employees. I would like to see a menu on their profile, and some hours of operation on the door, but the food is fantastic, and the specials are more than enough to please the biggest eater, my friend Marla eats there all the time and likes it very much and I know why, I like this place. It’s a great little restaurant. If you’re in the area, don’t overlook it. Update cooks not keep quality and service no pride in the art of being a great chef sorry this place was good
