Unfortunately, my experience at this particular branch was uncomfortable and disappointing. When I tried to place a simple order for three identical burritos, the employee cut me off mid-sentence with, “I didn’t need an essay,” which was jarring and unnecessary. I was just trying to make things easier, not overcomplicate anything. Throughout the order, he kept asking repetitive questions I had already clarified, then acted like I was the confusing one—until eventually admitting at the end that he understood what I meant all along.
On top of that, when I asked for extra cheese—something I’ve requested many times at other locations without issue—I was told, “No, I really can’t, because of how much the store spends on cheese every month”. It felt inappropriate and honestly a little bizarre to be given internal budgeting concerns as the reason for a subpar portion. If extra cheese is a problem at this branch, maybe it should be labeled as an upcharge like protein—but the inconsistency across locations is frustrating.
Just so it’s clear I’m not exaggerating, I’ve included a photo to show what I mean. He genuinely refused to give me adequate or the extra cheese…
This isn’t the first time I’ve noticed skimping at this branch, but this was definitely the most uncomfortable encounter I’ve had. It left me hesitant to return to this location, even though I’ve had great experiences at others. Just wanted to share in case management sees this and can help improve the consistency and customer service here.
I arrive 7 minutes before it was supposed to be ready (I guess better than late)
get it home in about 5 minute and when we opened our food, it was the sloppiest smallest portions we have ever seen (especially mine).
Both were cold, but my dish looked like a messy soup, with barely any meat or lettuce (was looking forward to trying the new Chicken Al Pastor but there wasn’t more than a few pieces in it.
The burrito shell was half hanging out of the aluminum foil also.
I attempted to call the store,
but you can’t talk to the actual location you have to speak to an 800 number.
So after numerous voice prompts it finally transferred me to some smarmy guy, I gave him the info he asked for and then wait, wait, wait, the next thing I knew it went back to the voice prompts.
and hung up, I called back again and this time I couldn’t even get to a person.
Frustrated I decided to drive back to the store, I asked to talk to the “manager”
(it was a Sunday evening) and said would you eat this and he said no.
He said we can remake it for you,
I declined after looking at the prep table which was an absolute disaster,
no just refund my money I said.
He says, we can’t give refunds at the store you have to call the 800 number!
You mean the same one that hung up on me and then wouldn’t connect me to another person?
He also reiterated that it would take 5-7 business days to get a refund after I spoke with someone.
We have been regular Chipotle customers for years, and frequently this location often. After this episode and the poor customer service on all levels, we will have to seriously rethink eating at Chipotle again.
The store inside looked clean, and my order was already ready when I got there, which is appreciated.
The quesadilla is so good and the rice! Woop. Delicious. The packaging is eco friendly and packaged well for delivery.
Mexican Coke too? That’s a win win!
I occasionally treat myself to Chipotle. Love their carnitas tacos. Tonight was a very big disappointment. I paid for three tacos and a drink (online order; pick up). I ordered crunchy shells with carnitas, light sour cream, fresh salsa, extra cheese, and lettuce. What I received was crunchy shells (am I off base that the shells have decreased in size??), barely any carnitas, NO sour cream, NO fresh salsa, LIGHT cheese, and lettuce. Also had to take a substitution to my drink; not a big deal but just added to the negative experience.
I was already home with my food when I saw this.
I slid the lettuce and cheese off one of the tacos in the pic(s) so you can see the little to nothing of carnitas. The rest of the taco(s) was then lettuce with a little splash of shredded cheese. Again, missing the other ingredients.
I definitely wasted my money tonight. Very disappointed.
I typically have great experiences with Chipotle, but not tonight. I will update my rating to a 5-star if this is addressed with a free dinner of three tacos to compensate me accordingly.
Below are the pictures of my tacos. The last pic is one of Chipotle’s website menu pictures…no comparison. I’m not looking for my tacos to be ‘loaded’, but at least give me what I paid for. Paying over $2.60 PER TACO for what I received is unacceptable.
Chipotle owes me a replacement dinner. I expect someone to reach out to me please.
