We came in on a Wednesday evening & enjoyed a light dinner at the bar. Sports were on several TV’s, & the strawberry margarita was tasty, & draft beer in a frosty cold mug! Complimentary Chips & fresh salsa, and ordered a side of queso. The restaurant felt newly decorated and clean, and our bartender was pleasant! We would recommend & will definitely come again.

If I could give Pepito’s zero stars, I would. My recent visit was an absolute masterclass in how to run a failing establishment. In an area like Niceville, where Mexican restaurants are on practically every corner, there is zero excuse for the level of mediocrity—and frankly, laziness—displayed here.
The food was beyond subpar; it was genuinely bad. Everything served was bland, uninspired, and tasted as though it had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours before being thrown onto a plate. Mexican food is supposed to be fresh and bold, but this was a soggy, tasteless mess that I wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy.
The service was equally appalling. Our waitress was almost impressively inattentive, treating our table like an afterthought. Communication was a total disaster; there was a significant language barrier that made even the most basic requests a struggle, and she clearly had no interest in bridging that gap or ensuring we had what we needed.
It is insulting to customers when a business stops trying because they think they have a captured market. Competition is supposed to breed excellence, but Pepito’s seems perfectly content to wallow in its own failure. I was completely unsatisfied and left feeling robbed of both my money and my evening. Save yourself the frustration and go literally anywhere else—there are far too many superior options in this town to waste a single cent on this place

I tried this place while visiting with my Floridian family. These may be some of the best tacos I’ve ever had!!! I ordered the Mahi Tacos. Everyone enjoyed their food, and the staff was great!!

My wife and i split the tamales and the fried ice cream. The food was so good! The chips and salsa are always amazing. The waiter was able to handle our semi large group (8 people) with no issue.

The white queso was really delicious!
They had selected drinks for $6 from 7pm to close. The salsa for the chips was not that spicy and maybe was too garlicky. The flautas were good but could have been a bit better. Rice and beans were a good portion as a side.

We dine here 1-2 times a week. This time we’re done. Poor service. We seated in the corner by the emergency door. The waiter stood by the door looking out and hovering by our table. I felt like he was rushing us or we were getting set up for a robbery. Our refreshments, ice topped to the top and tasted watered down. Our drinks ran out early with no refills. It took to long to pay. I’m concerned maybe card is compromised. When he brought back my receipt for signature he had dirty plates in his hands from another table. Very gross. The chicken was chewy this time. We mentioned it to the hostess. She knows us well, as well as Louis and all the other regular waiters. We always tip well 30/40 % but not this time. 3.00 tip and a sad face. We’re so disappointed, this was our go to spot. We will miss the people who know us. I know this well likely get the standard canned response like the other post because you have lost your sense of service and humanity.

Love the food here. We are from out of town and visiting family. This was our second visit. The food is fresh and delicious, our waiter was on point and the atmosphere is quite nice. Its roomy and not stuffy. Its a great place for a family dinner.
