The food is fair; the portions are good. If you want better Japanese fare and a better environment, visit one of the local restaurants that cook in front of you. Our server was quite erratic, and the crowd was rather noisy. In addition, finding parking is a bit of a chore.

It’s such a relaxing and pleasant place to eat. They use stone, bamboo, and even a waterfall to give the room a natural feel. Its always clean and the bathrooms are really nice.
The service is always great and the staff is friendly.
The food is fantastic. I love the filet mignon and the Mongolian beef. The fried green beans are out of this world. The Ganbei spicy fried rice is also great. I don’t eat sushi but friends have told me its the best they’ve had in the area.
Highly recommend this place. Just be sure to check the hours since they close between lunch and dinner.

Celebrated a friends birthday there. Autumn our waitress was very attentive and an excellent server. I would definitely recommend her! The food was delicious! It was an amazing experience!

This was my first experience ever with sushi, and I gotta say that I can definitely understand the hype! I came with a friend as a last-minute dinner idea, and we had a wonderful time overall! It was thanks to Taylor, our waitress who provided a fantastic service!
She was able to suggest to me the Pink Panther sushi roll, and customized it without tempura (via suggestion from my experienced friend). We also had chicken lettuce wraps as an appetizer to start us off as well!
We highly recommend this establishment based off of Taylor’s performance, and we’ll be back in the future!

Back at Ganbei for a fabulous lunch. One of the two sushi Chef’s prepared a lovely, heart-shaped appetizer. Not only pleasing to the eye, but also to the taste buds. Got a small Pearl Saki, non-filtered, so it has a white milky appearance. If you like saki, I highly recommend you give the Pearl a try.
Today, I treated myself. I ordered a Salmon Skin Hand Roll, White Knight Roll, and 14 piece Chef’s Choice Sashimi Plate. Scroll to my photos and today’s dishes are the last loaded. ($63.00)

Love a good sushi bar. Ganbei has main restaurant seating with separate Sushi Bar in rear. There is a nice size bar on the left as you enter. Pleasant ambiance. I received a complimentary appetizer, but scarfed it up before photographing. Had the smoked squid salad as an appetizer. For main meal, I ordered Sashimi plate with Hamachi (Yellowtail), Escolar (White Tuna), Unagi (Eel), and Ikuru (Large Salmon Roe). Was a bit disappointed that they did not offer the Ikuru topped with Quail egg. Finished off the meal with 4 pieces Nigiri sushi — Octopus and more Hamachi. I saw high chairs and booster seats. Ganbei is in a strip of shops and has shared parking.

I am an avid lover of tofu and rice, this place has the best tofu fried rice you will find in this area. The rice, tofu, and egg are cooked to absolute perfection. Their plum wine is also very good and now my favourite wine! My new favourite place, I will be back! Thank you 🙂

Went with my family and we had a great time. They seated us immediately, constantly refilled our drinks, got us our food pretty quickly as well. The staff were very nice and polite. The place was also very clean, which is always a nice thing to see.
It was a lovely dinner, and I’d totally go there again to have a special celebration or if I was alone and wanted to treat myself.

Disappointed and sick to my stomach. My husband and I split a filet and shrimp hibachi and the steak tasted funny. After investigating I realized I was served raw meat. The waiter took 50% off the hibachi dish, but I was sick to my stomach from eating raw meat and my husband ended up abandoning his dish due to the raw meat on his plate as well. We ended up just paying and leaving and will not be back.

I had the hibachi chicken. I honestly can say it was the best I ever had. The kids had “the Ship”. It was designed to feed 4, I would agree. It came with 4 soups and 4 salads, also. Would be perect for a family or 2 couples on a double date. The sushi was hit or miss. Some they loved, some they didn’t care fore. The tempura was a heavy batter and fried extra crunchy. Overall, a good meal and experience. We will be back!

Food was great! Waiter was awesome. Didn’t get his name. But he was waiting on I believe every table and was doing an awesome job. They even gave us a little Christmas mug when we left. Love this place.
