But there is an atm tho!
Tried the fried dumplings and it was so good! Not the crispy deep fried dumplings, rather a soft steamed with crispy edges. Served hot and fast. We also got their duck noodle but honestly the broth taste so pork-y.
The ambience is pretty nice, authentic Chinese lowkey humble resto with lots of stickers on the wall.
The frozen dumplings (to take home) are far more affordable!

Very budget friendly dumpling spot. I got pork wonton noodle soup for $7 my brother got beef stew noodles for I think $8 both came with a large bowl of brother and noodle mine had like 10 wontons, greens, and a large egg In it. The broth is hot and delicious. I overheard a kid say everything he has had here has been good. There used to be a different restaurant I came to years ago that was also very good so I’m happy there is a new place that I like here. The old place had a lot more locals though this one seems like it’s more geared towards gentrifiers. There is a several spots to sit but often the place can get kinda full as it is a cheaper place than most in the neighborhood. Anyway long story short the place is good definitely give it a shot especially if you have no money.

I ordered the Pork and Chive fried dumplings ($4.50). It came with 10 pieces and tasted amazing. The dumplings are crispy and the filling is a bit juicy and flavorful. For under $5, this is an amazing deal. The place is hidden away in Chinatown, but it’s worth making the trek there for some cheap yet solid dumplings. This place is cash only, so make sure you bring some extra cash with you. Overall, I would recommend this place if you want some cheap dumplings.

I came here for a quick bite and it’s a great cozy and affordable spot in Chinatown for some comforting food! I got their pork and chive dumplings (pan-fried is $4.50 for 10!), their pan-fried buns, and their sesame pancake with duck. Everything came out practically immediately, and the portions were huge. So good and worth your money.

Their $3 pork buns are mind blowing and they also have some seating arrangements too. It was not that packed compared to other places nearby. A hidden gem for sure!!!

This is one of your classic really cheap dumpling spots in nyc Chinatown. You can get lots of dumplings for really cheap here, and the dumplings are good for the price. Like a lot of places in Chinatown it’s cash only with an atm. The service is also fast. There’s limited seating space so you might have to wait or find somewhere else to eat.

Delicious and juicy fried pork and chives dumplings. 10 pieces for only $4.50 (such an affordable and filling lunch)! I like drizzling the dumplings with white vinegar, soy sauce and sriracha, then close the box and shake it all up. A nice spot in Chinatown to sit down for a quick meal and you don’t have to pay tips.

Having heard rave reviews, I finally made my way to King Dumplings, and it quickly became one of my favorite spots for authentic, affordable dumplings in NYC. I was delighted to find they’d simply moved a few blocks from their old location, ensuring I could continue to enjoy their fantastic offerings.
The moment I stepped in, I was struck by the no-frills, authentic vibe. It’s a small corner spot where you can actually watch the ladies expertly making the dumplings right in front of you – a truly cool experience. I opted for the pork and chives dumplings, and they were phenomenal. Whether fried or boiled, they were hot, ready in minutes, and perfectly balanced with a crispy bottom and a soft, pillowy top. The ratio of meat to chives to dough was spot-on, and at 10 for just $4, it’s an incredible deal that offers a huge bang for your buck. I also tried the pan-fried buns, which were equally delicious and made fresh to order.
A crucial tip for anyone planning a visit: King Dumplings is strictly cash-only. While there’s an ATM inside, it’s definitely more convenient to grab cash from a nearby bank beforehand. Seating is limited, but most people opt for takeout, so I usually managed to snag a spot. Be aware that during summer, it can get quite warm inside as there’s no AC or fan. Despite these minor points, the delicious, fresh, and incredibly affordable food, combined with the quick service, makes King Dumplings an absolute must-visit. I’ll definitely be back for more!

This is probably my fifth time here but I’m finally leaving a review if this is what you want it’s the perfect restaurant. If it’s not what you want don’t come here. If half the menu is not available that’s what you walked into, but the remaining items are gonna be sensational and the most bang for your buck you can get in almost damn near all five boroughs. There’s a lot of spots with cheap dumplings. This is the best.

Best value dumplings in the entire United Stated. An order of ten fried dumplings was $4.50 and a ten piece wanton soup was $3. The food was so good, especially for the price. The food also came out relatively quickly. While seating was limited, it did not decrease my ability to enjoy the food, especially considering that they offer takeout. Our favorite dish was the pan friend pork and chive dumplings.
