R&R is great! Barbecue is always my go-to restaurant choice. I’ve eaten at both the Riverwoods location and the Traverse Mountain spot numerous times.
The Riverwoods location does have a secret weapon… the cashier, Mateo. This young man remembers my favorite order, and is consistently pleasant and engaging. Mateo goes the extra mile to make our experience there the best it can be.
P.S. One more important thing– the Perrin sizes at R&R are much larger for the same price, compared to other local barbecue places.

Wasn’t impressed. The service was okay. Ordered the 3 meat plate brisket, ribs and sausage. The brisket was good. The sausage wasnt bad but I’ve had better and the ribs were dry and way over seasoned.. way too salty!!
When we sat down we noticed some cleaning has been skipped out on in a while. Splatter of bbq sauce all over the half wall.
Being from Texas this definitely isn’t real BBQ. Im sorry but missed the mark.

The staff were really kind and helpful. I ordered the bbq nachos, which were amazing especially if you’re feeling super hungry. I also got a side of mac and cheese, it was mediocre and a bit lumpy, didn’t taste very fresh, and felt quite expensive for the portion size. See image.

Door Dash order. This is the three ribs they gave me in my order today! WTH? The little, teeny, tiny, one is burnt to a crisp. If people are going to jack the prices up of things and make the orders smaller they’re not gonna have any business left the fries that we ordered unfortunately I already ate, but it was all the bottom pieces little teeny tiny burnt pieces. That’s unacceptable.! DoorDash is already bad enough as it is, but when you get crappy customer service from both that makes it worse

You call this brisket? It was mostly just fat. Ridiculous.
Also, they didn’t bring out people’s food in the right order. I saw four couples around me getting one person meal first and the other’s meal took a long long time. They didn’t get their food until the other people finished their meals.
Sweet potato fries were not fully cooked.
Most of the table had no paper towels. I had to ask the other table if I can take some from them.
Employees were soooo slow.
Disappointed so much and not coming back. Especially with that fatty brisket. I just can’t believe they charge 2.50 dollars extra for that “brisket”. Or maybe just the employee didn’t know what brisket was supposed to look like. Either way, what a depressing meal.

We never had such a bad experience as we did today , the beans were dry and burn , the hush puppies cane burn and the ribs were cold , I can’t believe they would look a 3 plates and think it’s ok to serve the food the way they did !!!!

I love R&R BBQ. You won’t regret coming here. I got the caveman burger, and it was awesome! For the side, I got the mac & cheese, but would get fries or mashed potatoes next time. This location has lots of seating and free parking. Everything here is good.

Fun atmosphere! The food is delivered very quickly as well. Good food—nothing crazy, but good. I would say your typical BBQ. The service was good as well, not necessarily above-and-beyond, but definitely antique for the restaurant.
The food is in the $10-20 range. Reasonably affordable, but adds up quickly if taking a family out to eat on a budget.
One of the ice machines wasn’t filled, and the chairs are pretty loud squeaking on the floor. But those are really small things. The bathrooms were clean, and that’s a small thing, too, but definitely a positive.

We really enjoyed the Smoked Turkey Salad; it should definitely be added to the menu permanently. The salad was missing the hard boiled eggs but otherwise it was great! We also like the pulled pork, chicken, and sliders. The sides are good too! We also really love getting the Peach Cobbler when it’s available.

Rather than being greeted with a welcome, as I was acknowledged with, “we are out of sausage, chicken and pork.”. Why tell me what you don’t have when I didn’t even order it? A complete turn off that let me know they don’t manage their kitchen well. Slow service, takes a while to get food.
Food quality was mediocre; meats dry and flavorless. A bit pricey for what you get. Stand in line to order like it’s fast food, no table service and spent $24 per person just for an entree (no drink, no dessert, not including tip).
