We were in the area visiting and hadn’t been to a Frisch’s in ages due to where we currently live.
I ordered a super big boy burger, and 2 sides of onion rings.
I ordered a southern breaded chicken sandwich for later on so we didn’t need to leave the hotel later.
The burger was perfectly cooked and delicious.
Both orders of the onion rings were over cooked. You could mainly taste the batter and not much of the onion. The inside was still tender though.
The breaded chicken was also cooked too long as the batter also had dark marks on it. The chicken inside was tender though.
My wife ordered the hot fudge cake and it was definitely very good. The fudge was very flavorful.
Our server was extremely polite, helpful and checked up on us frequently.
The restaurant was clean.
The men’s restroom definitely needed checked up on and cleaned though.

Cured my Big Boy craving. I won’t need one of those for another year.
I went through the drive-thru and ordered nothing special, just a big boy fries and a Coke. They asked me to pull forward and wait. 15 minutes later I was still waiting, so I shut off my truck and went in. I stood at the counter for another 5 or 6 minutes before they brought me my food.
I attempted to eat in the truck, but I guess I’ll just have to wait until I get home. They made such a mess of my big boy that I won’t be able to eat it without a fork. In the fries are half empty.
What’s going on at this place? Why is it so consistently bad?

Road trip home to Michigan from an excellent long weekend vacation at a Myrtle Beach Resort. Got off this exit to find lunch and when the kids saw the Big Boy statue there was no longer a choice to be made.
Now I grew up with “Big Boy’s” in the Midwest, and I’ve eaten at “Bobs original big boys” in California. But Frisch’s is a bit different, refreshingly so. We walked in to a warm southern welcome and when they found out this was our first time here the staff was more than happy to explain and walk us through the menu items.
I’m not a big fan of tartar sauce on fish, let alone on a burger, but you know what? I’m game! “When in Rome”, and all that right?
And don’t you know it was delicious!?
Kids got their breakfast for lunch and the wife got a Turkey Club. All great food! The service was excellent, the restaurant was very clean, and the food was great and a good value

Update: it’s been over 5 months since I’ve been here. Stopped in for the salad bar, very disappointed. They had almost nothing on the bar. They use to be the best salad bar ever now I guess we’re lucky to cucumbers on it, they didn’t even have bacon bits. If your going just for the salad bar it’s a complete waste of money just buy a pre-made one at the store smh same price but more options.. and not sure what’s going on with the burger

This place needs a leader as a manager poorly managed. I came in town to see mom and dad and needed my big boy fix. This was my girls first time thankfully the food was good. Now fir the bad poorly managed we came in there was like 4 maybe 5 tables with people. The couple in front of us finally seated theirselves waitress didn’t even acknowledge us for a bit. Grant it there was no hostess the manager never came out to help. There was another group behind us that eventually left we finally got seated. Checked salad bar out while passing there was 4 plates total on it total. I was after a big boy though can’t get it where I work now in Georgia. Tables that was dirty when we came in stayed dirty till we left. The food did come out in a timely manner like 10 mins but getting seated is ridiculous. Might stop in again when I come back that’s a toss up. Biggest problem I see is the manager being a leader.

Stopped by for a quick bite with the parents. Service was really good and the food was really good. Not saying that this is a characteristic of the people in this area we got alot of stares as if no one has ever seen black people before? Other than that interesting experience it was a nice time.

Pretzel bacon burger was delicious. The best I’ve had. Our waitress, was great. The atmosphere was nice. I would definitely recommend and I would go back.

Sage was wonderful and sweet. She was fun and made our visit exciting and special. She really went above and beyond.

This place was gross. I found hair on my bacon. Not sure what was up with the gravy. Fruit was slimy. Salad was wilted and slimy. Dishes dirty. Management wouldn’t even come and talk with me. What a joke. Enjoy the pictures.

Terrible!!! Chili was cold and grilled cheese was burnt. The waitress was tweaking. We had to order our drinks 3 different times, only for her to bring back 3 different drinks and say she didn’t know what one of them were but that I could have it. The food in the salad bar was not edible, the veggies were old and actually smelled moldy. The place was absolutely filthy! There we tables with dishes full of food that people left there, there was only us and 1 other group of .4 people in there. I will NEVER go back there again. I took a picture of soup on the salad bar. I would give less than 1 star if I could.
