I’ve had better chicken parm from a pizza shop. The cutlet was very thin, about an 1/8 of an inch thick. It was also tasteless.
Lasagna was ok, 2 out of 5 (5 being the highest)
Spaghetti was good, 5 out of 5
Meatballs were good, 5 out of 5
Service was good and the atmosphere was great.
We ordered lobster Bisque soup, which was delicious and warm. The Salmon was excellent too.
Our sincere thanks to Deborah C, keep smiling. You are awesome.
stephen approached & asked if i was picking up an order. i told him i wanted to place a takeout order. he said it would be 40 minutes to get the order. i told him i would come back another time since i can’t drive in the dark & i had come when it was so busy. he said to wait & he’d see what he could do. shortly after this he reappeared & said he could have my order out in 15 or 20 minutes.
not only did he get the order to me in 15 minutes but ran back in twice to the kitchen to add small things to the order . stephen was amazing, professional & friendly & i want to give a shout out to him for his valuable service to me at a very busy time at this great restaurant!
stephen, thank you for helping me have a wonderful first delicious dinner in my new apartment after being displaced by a fire that totally destroyed my home! i just had been relocated to my new apartment after having stayed in a local hotel for almost a month. you are truly appreciated for what you did for me!
the kindness of strangers is truly a gift during difficult times!
We would come back to try it again.
There isn’t one thing that was disappointing. The restaurant itself is cute and warmly decorated. Our server Sarah was on point from beginning to end. She greeted us right way and took our drink order. She also gave several good recommendations to our menu questions. Each table is served a loaf of fresh, warm Italian bread, homemade garlic bread and family style salad with their own vinaigrette. Both types of bread were fantastic! The garlic bread is exceptional. We started with the bacon wrapped scallops. The bacon was crisp and cooked perfectly. It wasn’t fatty or soggy. It was really perfect! Scallops were tender and the wasabi dipping sauce had just enough kick. My entrée was the 18 oz. cowboy ribeye, medium rare with sautéed spinach and broccoli rabe and garlic. The steak was superb, cooked perfectly and very tender. My veggies were excellent. Both bright green so I am assuming they got them from a local farm. They were both in a light broth with a little oil. Broccoli rabe had a touch of red pepper flakes so they had a kick.
My husband had the menu special. Twin lobster tails with crab meat stuffing and their homemade pasta AND homemade sauce. He raved about everything. The lobster was tender and the stuffing was mostly lump crabmeat. However, he is still talking about the pasta. I know this phrase is over used but… he was blown away. Then Sarah came back with another round of bread! Needless to say we were stuffed when we left and the price was absolutely more than reasonable.
We decided that EVERY time we go to Atlantic City we will, without a doubt, stop at Joe’s for lunch or dinner.
