We were a party of 12 and had a reservation. A group came in after us after waiting at the table for some time, and the chef cooked their food before serving us. I asked if they were short staffed and was told yes. The food was delicious, with everyone having to-go plates. The presentation was awesome. Hats off to Mark, the chef, that was very entertaining. If the wait and a group being served before us did not happen, I would have given them 5 stars.

Sat at the bar allowing me to order take out. Took at least 10 minutes to be acknowledged before getting some water. Waited another 15 min until they’re turned to order my take out. Had to search for my server for refills on the drink. The order finally came out at least another 20 min. Paying in cash i had to leave my seat and go to the register beause iwas paying in cash then the internet was out so had to wait another 10 min. Food getting cold. Made it home with cold food. Chicken was overcooked and touch, shrimp was good. Rice didnt have much taste. My experience was terrible but will provide them another chance to improve. Did i say my wine glass was dirty? Hard to recommend at this time.

Decided to try Sumo for date night and I’m beyond happy that we did!!!! Libby was our server and she was the epitome of excellent customer service. The food was great and the cook was so engaging and fun!!! We sat with a group of nice people and will definitely be coming back. So if you’re looking for a Hibachi place to go to in NE Cola…go to Sumo & you won’t be disappointed!!!! 10/10

Great hibachi restaurant! Prices are very reasonable, especially compared to other similar restaurants. We were celebrating a birthday and the owner came out to make sure we were having a great time and took a picture with us! They even had a “throne” for the birthday girl to sit in for her meal. Ari and Libby were happy, cheerful and made our night memorable. Awesome vibe, great food and fantastic service!

Sumo is a great hibachi option. The food is always good and a huge portion. The drinks are good enough. The ranch dressing in the salad was like they added water to make it stretch. That was unfortunate. The mushroom/onion broth/soup they serve is delicious if you like those flavors and light. The chef was entertaining and had good conversation throughout the experience. They are very accommodating to those with allergies and make sure there isn’t any cross contamination.
