The food was as delicious when serving 100 people as just the two of us on a date. The team allowed us to pick and choose all our favorite dishes, rearrange the tables, and were extremely accommodating of super specific dietary restrictions, special drink requests, and handled the inevitable chaos that accompanies all weddings with grace. Granted, we likely had a little bit more — there was a tornado in Clayton the day of our event (!), but Madi and team were so calm and centered despite the hectic energy we brought in! We lost our placecards, Madi and team immediately jumped in and said don’t worry, we’ll start making them! We found the placecards, the team said no worries, we’ll put them out!
The service was incredible, everyone so warm, accommodating, and easygoing. Food is a 10/10 every time. Madi and team even heard about how much we loved pretzels and bows and made us a giant bow shaped pretzel
Whether you’re considering Pastaria for a casual family dinner, date for two, or your whole wedding, we can safely say we’ve done them all and had the most incredible experience every single time. Truly our favorite STL restaurant

Top notch service and Italian food
They also make their own gelato there which is very good
Service always outstanding
Can be noisy but no big deal as ev else makes up for it
Highly recommend AAAAA
The mushroom pizza was phenomenal. One of the best pizzas I’ve had in a long time. The Old Fashioned was fantastic. Must try the maple pecan gelato! Risotto balls – chefs kiss!
Kiersten, along with the fantastic food and drinks, has officially made me a return customer. She’s hands-down one of the best servers I’ve ever had. If you go, definitely request her!
Love that they have some happy hour specials and we enjoyed them thoroughly. Had we wanted to eat our fill with that menu we certainly could but we really enjoyed that we could have.
I recommend going early and snagging a table (though I also love the bartenders). We were seated in the wine/deli space which I love dearly.
No trip to Pastaria is complete without the risotto balls and I love that they are on the happy hour menu! There are also a few drinks, I happily chose sangria and didn’t look back! So good. We also got the margarita pizza which has never disappointed at Pastaria. We were having so much fun and hanging out so long we eventually ordered the garganelli to split and it was the perfect close.
I have come to Pastaria dozens of times over the years, doing dear friend meetups like this one, hosting out of town family or friends and holding business dinners of various sizes from a small table to a private room. The service is always topnotch, attentive but not overt, anticipating needs, etc.
There is street parking and a garage – the restaurant happily validates.
