A Hidden Gem of True Korean Comfort

It’s not every day I give out a perfect five stars, but Modoo Restaurant earns it with quiet confidence and genuine craftsmanship. This is the kind of place that reminds you why Korean cuisine resonates so deeply—soulful, aromatic, and comforting to the very last bite.

Ambiance – 5/5
Warm and inviting, Modoo captures the essence of a true neighborhood Korean restaurant. The space feels intimate without being cramped, and the hum of conversation pairs perfectly with the sizzle and aroma from the kitchen.

Authenticity – 5/5
Every dish reflects thoughtful execution and traditional Korean roots. From the perfectly seasoned soups to the sizzling platters, each bite honors the depth and nuance of Korean home cooking.

Flavor – 5/5
Each plate arrived piping hot and beautifully balanced—rich in flavor yet never overly salty. The dishes had that signature Korean aroma that’s hard to replicate: a delicate balance of spice, umami, and warmth that lingers pleasantly.

Service – 5/5
Service here is top-notch—attentive, welcoming, and genuine. The staff seemed to take pride in ensuring every guest felt looked after, enhancing the entire dining experience.

Cost – 5/5
Considering the generous portions and quality of food, Modoo offers incredible value. Every dish felt thoughtfully priced, making this one of those rare finds where you leave full, happy, and impressed.

Final Thoughts:
Modoo Restaurant stands out as one of the most authentic Korean dining experiences I’ve had in the area. Everything—from the piping-hot dishes to the heartfelt service—spoke of care and quality. A must-visit for anyone craving honest, flavorful Korean cuisine.

Highly recommend this place! There so much variety in their Korean food and it was all delicious! This place is pretty busy and often has a wait on the weekends, so you may want to get there early.

My favorite item was the pork bulgogi. Some of the best I’ve had. Their side dishes were also well-made and balanced the entrees nicely. The kimchi pancake is LARGE. Like the size of a medium pizza.

We also really enjoyed the ordering experience. Each table has a tablet that you order from. Staff is constantly bringing out food and refilling beverages, etc.

This is a local Korean spot in Lynnwood. We tried the bossam (steamed pork) – I really liked how they bring out the meat and you cook it at your table. The pork was sliced thickly and it tasted great with the fresh garlic and bean paste.

Also tried the galbi tang. The portion size was good – there were 3 large pieces of galbi in the soup.

I really liked the rice here. While it’s the classic Korean purple and white rice, it was cooked really well. It had a nice, chewy texture to it. I also liked the banchan here too – pretty standard, but it tasted fresh and you can also for refills.

*update – would also recommend the beef galbi here. The galbi was amazing!!

Would recommend making a trip out here for the food!

So happy we stumbled upon Moodoo after a brew at Peace of Mind brewery next door. We were served tea immediately as we sat down which we really enjoyed. After figuring out the ordering screen at the table we ordered two dishes and some rice balls. The dishes came quickly along with sides we didn’t expect (we were rookies here) including more rice. Both of the dishes we ordered were delicious and large in size. The sides were all cold which surprised us a little, but again rookies. The tea kept on coming and the service was very friendly. All around a great experience.

One of my favorite restaurants! I come here about 3–4 times a month, and the food has always been really good. The place is usually busy, which shows how popular it is. Definitely worth coming back again.

The takeout I ordered was beef and tofu soup. The tofu was very soft and silky, the broth had just the right amount of spice, and everything was packed neatly in a clean container. The flavors were rich and comforting, and I enjoyed it so much that I’d say this restaurant is definitely in my personal Top 3 for Korean food. I’ll be coming back for sure!

One of the best authentic Korean restaurants in the greater Seattle area. One of my family favorites in which we have frequented numerous times and the food has never disappointed. Fridays and Saturdays are busy with a longer wait but definitely worth it. Very nice presentation and attention to detail with delicious banchan dishes. I would personally recommend the spicy tofu soup and seafood bibimbap. 🙂

Food never disappoints here. The galbi jjim is excellent and full of meat. The seafood pancake is also fresh and crispy but not overly oily.
The soft tofu soup really satisfies and spicy jokbal is cooked to perfection.

The portions are huge for the size and if you only have a party of 2, expect to bring home left overs if you order 2 meats.

The waitlist can get long on weekends. They have a giant TV that plays kpop music on repeat as a vibe – not sure how I feel about that. Otherwise it’s a solid restaurant worth driving over to from Seattle or Bellevue downtown.

Hands down the best Korean restaurant in Seattle area by far. This place is filled with customers and has a line even on weekdays. The presentation of dishes is great, the taste is fantastic, and the servers are super attentive.

The portion for lunch specials is big, and it is a feast!
