It’s not every day I give out a perfect five stars, but Modoo Restaurant earns it with quiet confidence and genuine craftsmanship. This is the kind of place that reminds you why Korean cuisine resonates so deeply—soulful, aromatic, and comforting to the very last bite.

Each plate arrived piping hot and beautifully balanced—rich in flavor yet never overly salty. The dishes had that signature Korean aroma that’s hard to replicate: a delicate balance of spice, umami, and warmth that lingers pleasantly.

Final Thoughts:
Modoo Restaurant stands out as one of the most authentic Korean dining experiences I’ve had in the area. Everything—from the piping-hot dishes to the heartfelt service—spoke of care and quality. A must-visit for anyone craving honest, flavorful Korean cuisine.
My favorite item was the pork bulgogi. Some of the best I’ve had. Their side dishes were also well-made and balanced the entrees nicely. The kimchi pancake is LARGE. Like the size of a medium pizza.
We also really enjoyed the ordering experience. Each table has a tablet that you order from. Staff is constantly bringing out food and refilling beverages, etc.
Also tried the galbi tang. The portion size was good – there were 3 large pieces of galbi in the soup.
I really liked the rice here. While it’s the classic Korean purple and white rice, it was cooked really well. It had a nice, chewy texture to it. I also liked the banchan here too – pretty standard, but it tasted fresh and you can also for refills.
*update – would also recommend the beef galbi here. The galbi was amazing!!
Would recommend making a trip out here for the food!
The soft tofu soup really satisfies and spicy jokbal is cooked to perfection.
The portions are huge for the size and if you only have a party of 2, expect to bring home left overs if you order 2 meats.
The waitlist can get long on weekends. They have a giant TV that plays kpop music on repeat as a vibe – not sure how I feel about that. Otherwise it’s a solid restaurant worth driving over to from Seattle or Bellevue downtown.
The portion for lunch specials is big, and it is a feast!
