My family and I have been eating here for years. Its delicious every time. But today, this morning, whoever made my 2 Chorizo and egg tacos, must be a 5 star chef in disguise. The tortillas were fresh, hot, and flavorful, the Chorizo and egg was portioned to perfection accompanied by what I could only assume was the perfect amount of seasoning.. maybe i was exceptionally hungry but it was the best breakfast ive ever had. I will forever come back.

I have passed this place many times. We finally decided to try it out after seeing someone recommend them on Facebook. We both had cheese enchiladas , and they used the good cheese, not cheddar. We will definitely be going back. Wish they stayed open later. Portions are a very good size also.

Ordered the burrito plate thinking it was a big tortilla with fillings and got 3 small tortillas holding together some stale meat called beef fajitas (had the mouth feeling of beef jerky) and some beans and rice and lettuce which only had one small piece and covered in some nasty cheese and gravy, menus need to be more descriptive for people looking for something more authentic.

1st of all. 4 of us got our breakfast plate. Except one of us. We ate our food. Told waitress still waiting for 1 plate. She rush off but never saw her again. We won’t be back. Way over priced, the wait staff & the owner. Just care about the cash coming in. Not on serving good food. Or keeping loyal customers, will never go back. Or recommend this establishment.

I usually order the 1lb barbacoa special on the weekends and thoroughly enjoy it. The last few weeks they have really shorted the portions given. I weighed the “1lb” on a scale and it said 0.47 lbs. This cost $23 + tip.
The meat and tortilla flavors are still great as always but the lack of Quality Assurance makes me not want to spend the money for it.
I tried calling the restaurant to voice my concerns this last time but I either can’t get through or they seemingly hang up when I start to explain my issue.

No complaints about the customer service but the wait for our food is usually why we don’t come here. The price 100% isn’t worth the quality of the food. Ordered mini tacos w asada which comes with boracho beans. The beans came after we started on our tacos already. After a couple of bites into the beans I saw something black floating & joked if it was bug, dug it out & it was indeed a bug. Immediately stopped eating & told the waitress who took the plate to the back & said it was an “ant”. They did comp that one plate tho.

The tacos were good but for the price they could have been bigger. I had larger tacos for the same price at other restaurants. I would recommend this place based on the taste and quality of the tacos I tried. Five dollar minimum purchase for credit card purchases. They also have a huge sign before you walk in. It says they have the right to refuse service to anyone. Good luck! One more thing the parking lot is small. You might need an suv or truck to park on the side.

The menu has gotten pricier but the food quality has gotten worse.
$5 for a limonade in a TO GO cup that I did not ask for. When I asked the server about it, she said that lemonade is given in a to go cup whether or not I want the to-go cup, and of course I’m sure I’m being charged for something I didn’t request or ask for.

I had the #1 ( 2 enchiladas /2 puffy tacos with guacamole. The guacamole was thin, not thick . I’ll pass on guacamole next time, but the food was delicious , Enchiladas chips/salsa was good, beans also great flavor. Tortilla homemade.. my puffy taco didn’t hold up, need to eat with a fork.

This was my 2nd trip to Sely’s. I was recently introduced to this place by a friend of mine, and then recommended it to a friend of mine who I met with a friend of theirs.. see how this works?
I recommended the location because they told me they were on a budget, and were in the Schertz and 3009 area. I told them the food was cheap and the portions were large.
Before I arrived they were seated and munching on chips and salsa, and an order of chili con queso. We ordered our entrees and when the food came the portions blew them away.. they had already filled themselves half way up before the food arrived and now these huge steaming plates of food came to the table.
I had the daily special which was 2 enchiladas, rice and beans & a chalupa/tostada. I asked to substitute the chalupa for a puffy taco, and they did for a minimal charge. I believe it was about $2 more. My dinner and drink with the substitution came out to about $12.
Everyone at the table was pleased with their orders, all the food was hot & well prepared, service was pretty good, even though they were busy at the time and our waiter was running around like crazy.
I will definitely return and recommend this place to others, as its a good place for mexican food with really good prices.
