Without the need for any real motivation, I decided to take a roadtrip from NY to the DMV last week to chill with fam.
While in route it was already decided that Friday we were hanging out. One of my nieces just moved and wanted to check out Nottingham’s Tavern. When the day arrived, we all got ready for happy hour headed out to NT.
Upon arrival the space is very spacious with some regulars at the bar. The four of us grabbed a high-top and was introduce to Jasmine, our server who was new. She was very nice and was holding down here tables very well.
Now the DJ’s were really good, I believe there were 3 gentlemen that rotated on the one’s & two’s. From the time we entered we barely sat down.
The food and drinks were another story. The drinks, with the exception of the bottled beers, were horrible. I ordered a bullet with ginger-ale and my god sister ordered a Kettle One vodka with pineapple, both were nasty. Since both drinks were only two ingredients I’m guessing that their ice might have been the problem. In addition there was a Don Julio drink and a Pumpkin Espresso Martini also not good.
The food was ok, it was pretty much typical bar food. We ordered the Chicken Nacho Basket, Wings (lemon pepper & buffalo), Southwest Chicken Egg-rolls and tots (they don’t have fries… blasphemy!). I tried the tots, wings and egg-rolls. The wings were cooked well, as preferred, but the lemon pepper was absolutely too salty. The southwest egg-rolls were tasty. The tots were basic, again I’m stuck on the no french fries.
Overall atmosphere and tunes great, the food ok but the drinks are a Nah. Which is crazy because this is a bar. To top it off they over charged us for one of those nasty drinks. I asked Jasmine, who again was great, about it and showed her the bill. I was offered another drink, told her absolutely not, but that I wanted a refund and she could keep it. The bill was already paid and she deserved even extra.
Nonetheless we had a great time laughing and dancing.

They have several things going on at once. There was karaoke and a comedy show schedule for that night. In addition they have pool tables towards the back.

I never like to complain about food, and I understand they are new with brunch. But the food I ordered was not good. The breakfast board was all store bought. Grocery store fruit, cheese, and crackers. The waffles were eggo waffles. The presentation was great, the taste? Not so much

I am a regular patron and have visited many times without incident. However, during this visit, I was served by a bartender named Sabrina, whom I had not encountered before. When I politely asked, “Could I get a glass of Chardonnay, if you’re not too busy,” her response was immediately hostile and unprofessional.
Without provocation, she became verbally aggressive, called me names, and treated me as though I had done something wrong. When I attempted to calmly defend myself, the situation escalated further. The interaction felt discriminatory and racially motivated, and it left me feeling disrespected, targeted, and unsafe.
Because of this experience, I no longer feel comfortable returning to this establishment, which is unfortunate given my history as a loyal customer. No patron should feel attacked or fearful while simply ordering a drink.
I will be making a formal complaint as well!

While I am a Maryland native I do not frequent Columbia, MD. It was a Saturday. It was my birthday. The day went well but now it was late (11:00 PM EST) We were hungry again and very few options were open for food. Stumbled across Nottingham’s Tavern with their later hours. So, we drove from Ellicot city to the “restaurant”. We didn’t realize that it was a “club” at a certain time – they charged a cover for entry. Again, we just wanted food but options were slim. So we paid the $20 entry fee ($10/person ) the music was loud, no one on the dance floor, plenty seating at the bar. We went straight to the bar, grabbed a seat and glanced at the menu. A bartender came over to take our order, we had been celebrating all day so all I wanted immediately was some water. The bartender gave us a price. So, we replied that tap water was fine. So the bartender informed us “oh no, we charge for water, bottled water is the only option”. Confused, my friend asks, “Where are we?!” And the bartender says “Columbia” while I reply “USA” where I’m used to water being free. My friend then says “we paid $10 to get in here and we can’t even get water?” Bartender replies that she was correct. My friend and I get up and she decides to ask for our money back (this whole interaction may have been seven minutes). Tank Davis, the manager, would not return our money (which should have been easy since I gave a $20 bill). The service was rude. They were not accommodating. It was a terrible ending to my birthday (I was clearly wearing a headband that said “It’s my birthday”). I would not recommend anyone give this place their business. I’m not surprised it was empty on a Saturday night. DON’T GO HERE!

I usually come here to see live music. They have an outdoor area for hookah and karaoke. They have pool tables. The food is good and the bartenders make good drinks. I like the wings and hot crab dip. The place is very spacious with plenty of seating.

Great place for watching sporting events especially when it’s football season. They have great deals for football night. The food was ok but it’s a sports bar. Plenty of other things to do for your entertainment. They have pool tables, video games, out door seating, dj events. Overall it was a good experience

The bartender interrupted our convo saying we needed to close our tab after our first order at 1:15am, then began closing out the bar. 15-20mins later she asked 3 “regular” customers if they wanted more drinks. I asked her why she started fixing their drinks when she made it seem like the bar was shut down. She claimed my attitude is why she didnt make additional drinks but she didn’t offer us abother round until I clocked that she was still serving customers! When I tried to ask another bartender about the situation the guilty one tried to yell over me & tell us to leave! LYING TO CUSTOMERS IS CRAZY & WE WON’T BE BACK

Great place to hang out. The chili hotdog was subpar. It was a standard hotdog with chili. It needs a bigger hotdog for the price they are charging. Service on food was very slow had to wait 40 min for a single chili hotdog. The waitress was extremely nice and attentive.

Beware of this establishment! They posted an event for Karaoke night. When we arrived we were told there was Gogo music and Latin night. The cost to enter was $50 for Gogo and $10 for Latin night. There was no sign or notification of such. The door man seemed shady so we left and will never return again.

I went during the evening to lounge. The service from the start to finish was great. The was not overly crowded. The bartenders were all very attentive, the DJ was amazing, there was karaoke on the outside patio and the crowd appeared to be early to mid 30 and up
