Review:
I ordered the Chipotle burrito. A generous portion size with great ratio fillings. I was worried there was going to be less meat filling but I was surprised. I ordered steak meat as the option, well seasoned and nicely chared.
I arrived just as the restaurant opened. Service took a little while to get my order. I would like to come back next time to see how the restaurant normally operates later in the day to give a more fair review of the customer service. Overall staff was friendly and helpful on explaining food options such as local favorites and staff favorites on the menu.
I would recommend this location for Mexican cuisine in the duluth area.
We stopped at Mexico Lindo and we give their food a solid 4. The atmosphere and service are absolutely a 5.
Superb service by our waiter who was personable and very good at his job.
Where else can you go and get a cool Mexican cantina vibe with views overlooking the scenic waters of Lake Superior. We sat inside for margaritas and outside for dinner. Great combination of seating choices!
It’s an awesome place to be in the summer.
The menu is large and they have a lot of choices. Although there are no TT offerings, they do have a lunch menu available. Slightly smaller portions and lower prices. More than enough food.
Decent chips and salsa. Good Queso.
If you get to Duluth, this is a great place to stop. The area where the restaurant is located is very cool. Like a converted warehouse that is now eclectic shops you would find in an upscale farmers market.
Worth a visit.
My friend and I both had the taco salad with chicken. I didn’t realize it came on top of refried beans and then had refried beans in the bottom of the taco salad bowl. The refried beans underneath the fried taco bowl made it mushy. I don’t think the taco salad was great.
A large party got seated next to us and the service wasn’t very good after that. My friend ordered the fried ice cream which she said was really good.
The arroz con pollo had nicely seasoned chicken, but the rice was overly greasy, likely from the cheese melted into it. The enchiladas were decent. The Jarocho, while flavorful, was also quite greasy. The kids’ chicken nuggets and fries were disappointing, the fries were the frozen smiley-face kind, and the nuggets were clearly store-bought rather than freshly made. Our kids didn’t complain and ate it.
What truly stood out, in a positive way, was the service. Our waitress was phenomenal, warm, friendly, and incredibly personable. The staff supporting her was equally kind and welcoming.
The restaurant is located inside a multi-level warehouse filled with shops and dining options. The décor is nice, but the food doesn’t quite match the prestige of the overall location. If you’re craving Mexican food catered to American tastes, this spot may work for you.
Chips and salsa were served right away and were genuinely good, generous portions and great flavor, just try not to fill up on them before your meal arrives.
