Always a must stop at any location when we visit ND! The eggs are always cooked to protection! The Fries are cut fresh/ made to order and the seasoning or sauce options always hit the spot. Can never go wrong with a cold 1919. The taps are always changing and giving the best options as well. We also did the postcards home to our families. Such a cute personal touch to the experience. My other half is still day dreaming of the burgers thank you guys for everything you do!

The food is good. The peanut butter….Definitely take some home! The beer…I think it was called heartless blonde. Very good! Im not really much of a beer drinker, and it was good! The fresh cut fries, yes! The service was extremely slow, and it wasn’t totally packed out. Our server was frazzled, but she was always going, so no complaints with her. She did great. There was what I believe was the bartender that was loud and obnoxious. She didnt seem to love her job, mostly complaining but once it did start filling up in there, it drowned her out some. This was my husband’s 3rd or 4th visit, and we will be back!

Counted 40 taps plus cans and bottles—crowlers and growlers to go. Food was outstanding—ghost pepper sauce was killer. Best beer cheese really held up to its name. Service was stellar—Pam is OG. Kitchen side bar plus booth seating. It’s cozy.

My dad recently passed away, and while I was visiting Williston, North Dakota where he lived, I decided to go “bumping around” as my dad would say when he would travel around to various places in the country in his pick up truck. I looked up JL Beers in Watford City, and decided to try it out. Well let me just say it was the best burger I’ve had in more than four years. Top-notch excellent service too!! Would definitely recommend it and will go back the next time I’m in this area.

Great food and service! I ordered a double Teriyaki burger with a side of garlic parmesan fries and Cajun lime dipping sauce. I dipped my teriyaki burger in the Cajun sauce and two paired extremely well.

The garlic parmesan fries are quite delicious as well. This is the first restaurant I’ve been to in North Dakota that wasn’t afraid to use seasonings on it’s food.

The waitress was quite attentive and served with a smile on her face the whole time. The restaurant decor is industrial but modern with a very appealing atmosphere.

We have a toddler so we Scheduled a take out order for 4:30pm today, went in to pick it up at 4:28. Food was already cold. Why offer a Scheduled pick up if your just going to cook it right away anyways? The fry portion is also ridiculous for the take out orders, not even half of what you get when you eat in. Prices have gone up drastically, and quality has gone down hill. We used to love JL, but the last 3-4 times haven’t been great.

Large selection of craft beers. The menu looked awesome. Got the JL burger and the loaded fries. The burger has JL sauce which was pretty spicy and I would have not gotten it if I knew that. The heat overpowered all the other good ingredients. The fries were supposed to have cheese but I didn’t get any. I only got a big tub of some mystery sauce. Staff was way overwhelmed and a bit crusty.

Never again. Called in a large to go order, 18 people….the response was a long “sigh”. You do realize your restaurant is in an oilfield town, yes? I have never in my 15 years of working in North Dakota dealt w bigger “babies” than this place. 18% “service charge” for to go orders. Add a tip on top of that and you have a $441 bill for 18 chicken sandwiches w a side of fries. Most restaurants are thrilled to receive orders of this size, and the employees would be thrilled w a fat tip. I will NEVER again spend a single penny in this place. I will also spread the word thruout the Bakken to let EVERYONE know what kind of a “business” this is. Absolute disgrace.
