I love Vic, very kind and sweet. This location is the BEST location. I’ve never had a bad sandwich EVER from here, I’ve never had bad service here EVER. Always a vibe when I visit, I love y’all over there! Oh and the cooks are awesome, they listen and deliver just what you ask for whether plain or super extra.

Vic has been the best hard working, understanding, quick and polite employee here for eons! Throughout the crazy years and changes; has been a stalwart in my community… food’s great, as any place I frequent must be, there’s just more to loyalty than that, for me. Vic! Vic is that reason ❤️

Everyone was friendly and “new ownership” came up with a couple of my questions. Their phone system is AI and works really good. I was excited to eat. But when I got home the Rueben’s were nothing like they’ve always been. The portion seems half the corned beef. I got the large which is usually 9oz but apparently it ain’t large anymore. The corn beef was bland and the dressing was too sweet. Unfortunately, I’ll be taking Bread Basket off my list. End of an era. B

I went yesterday and the sandwich is totally different. Thick onion roll (previously flat) with less meat…. a lot less meat. Ownership must have changed. I have been going here for the last 15 years. Don’t switch up now! I won’t be back. It’s an insult to your frequent clients that you think we won’t notice. You had a good thing going but greed won.

Dry dry dry. Worst in the city. Since new mgmt took over Redford location, quality of food has gone down. A pickle slice in not even included with corned beef or now. Prices have also increased. Automated AI answers the phone now. Can’t even get a real person anymore. Threw half of my $30 sandwich away.

We ordered our sandwiches over the phone for pick up. They were done on time, but sadly lacking.
We received 2 dry sandwiches.
Bread and meat- so condiments- nothing.
For the prices charged, I can go to the market, buy 2 pastrami/corn beef premade trays and frozen fries. Eat a couple of days and STILL have $20 change

I recently placed a carry out order with there automated system and it continually makes mistakes on my order…I ordered a United meat with coleslaw and no coleslaw… Yesterday I ordered the same sandwich and no dressing
Didn’t realized until I got home…A $21 plus tip dry sandwich….I’m out

I was there this evening. Ordered a regular Corned Beef on rye with swiss, russian dressing & grilled. Cost $23, it was nasty. Dry, crumbly corned beef, no taste and it had a tiny piece of blonde hair in the sandwich. And they only give you 1/4 piece of a pickle. I didn’t bother returning the sandwich. Oh and my side of fussian dressings was so thick that I needed to use a spoon. Never ever will I go back . Lou’s Deli has always been the Best!!!

I went to bread basket about 10 years ago, and it was great. It was the first alternative to Lou’s deli that I would be happy about. So we went there today and we ordered two sandwiches and we tried their corned beef egg rolls for some reason. I ordered the bread basket sandwiches which is like a dinty Moore but with Swiss cheese. I ordered the original size sandwiches and I was a little disappointed. The last time I went here the sandwich was stacked so high I could barely bite it, and the meat was very tender and thinly sliced. There was a lot of flavor from the Russian dressing and the tomatoes. This time I could barely taste the sauce the meat was a little salty and a little bit more tough and the bread was tasted old and stale. It was falling apart.

The corned beef egg rolls were actually good crunchy on the outside the meat was tender and not too salty. It’s amazing you go there mainly for corned beef sandwiches but then the egg rolls are better.

Anyway someone actually told me that Bread Basket went downhill over the last few years but I didn’t believe it so I wanted to verify for myself and guess what they were correct. I wouldn’t count them out as they have I believe a locations around Detroit area so maybe they might take customer service and get back on track or maybe the next time I visit Detroit they’ll be gone like many other businesses who don’t care about customers or their reputation. I usually find that restaurants that are just greedy and trying to make a buck they don’t last.

Normally the sandwiches are on point. I’ve been coming here for a few years and one employee has been a staple and consistently professional, it’s Vic. With sandwiches being almost $20 for a 9 oz corn beef, please make it correctly! No one has the time to waste to go to work just to have your lunch messed up. This pic CLEARLY shows that the 9 oz paid for, is not what was received. So if JUSTIN is on the board, either go somewhere else or definitely DOUBKE CHECK your order before leaving. My hubby had to bring half the sandwich back AND the receipt in order to have it remade.

I may have to go back to Al’s on Woodward because this is the SECOND time the food was wrong. Then to be told, “he weighed all the sandwiches.” Either he can’t read measurements or he didn’t weigh out 9 ozs of meat. Pick one but DO BETTER especially when folks are paying almost $20 for a sandwich AND we tip.
